  1. No..... Never ever exchange cash for household tasks, you are on a hiding to nowhere They come under the "fair exchange" rule ( sub section 5* ) it goes like this "Ok there's 15 minutes to tidy this room if you want to go to the park" It works ( with perseverance ) Saturday morning family clean up= Saturday afternoon family fun No cash changes hands W**F
  2. Ok... It goes without saying Pat "David Bowie" Jennings goes in in goal ( it's a given ) But who else & what position..? W**F
  3. PDS Pretty damn slow W**F

  8. Jimmy.. ( your stocking garter is showing BTW ) Atila is taking some well earned R & R He needs no further provocation on here during his " sabaticle " I understand that you support The Tottenham Hotspurs Football Team Well I am a fan of The Arsenal Football Team ,so any further barbed jabs in the supporter/antagonism stakes can be directed here To me Thank you in anticipation W**F
  9. Ok... I have done both & have myself been educated at both For me here & now it's easy, my boys are in an excellent state school, ofsted "outstanding" rather than an OK prep I can't & won't afford it anymore however, it is different at a state school socially. Though like fall in with like , you find your group that fits or your kids do. Trust me the good schools are run by the middle class & motivated parents, there's plenty of lawyers, academics & professionals that don't send their children to private schools My boys both speak well & are very polite, mostly because we pull them up along the way. They both read very well are in the top groups at school but we read with them when they come home & chase the home work. No TV in the week but music, drawing , piano, guitars. No computer games, mobile phones I think it's how much work & effort you put in with your chosen school that counts, if you want posh friends join the rugby club at Beckenham, the football at Dulwich college sports grounds. If you want to let you kids go balastic on blue & yellow sweets go to Gambardos Take your choice, but the best work is done at home Good luck though W**F

Books & ledgers , can I come to your house ? Actually I do a similar thing but I don't "give" them pocket money I do however give them opportunities to earn some cash as both me & Mrs W**F run our own business. Basically they can come out on deliveries or help package the mail order goods, in fair exchange they get an agreed rate They both at first spent it as fast as it came in, though now they save it properly MasterW**F is 9 & he's saved over ?50 microw**f has saved ?35 so far ( he's 5 ). Bonuses are birthday, christmas, grand parents monies. Plus free goods turned into e-bay cash They have started to understand the value of cash & that it's work/trade driven. I find I'm not pestered (so much ) in shops & supermarkets , plus as we trade on e-bay it also gives them a good idea of deals vs value There are also agreed rules on what they buy ( no electronic/computer games ect...) Another way to get them thinking is to go to the "special bookshops" run by charities ( there's a good one in Beckenham ) where they can buy good quality pre read books at a massive discount, at the end add up the value against what's paid. Thus working out the saving They love it ( honest ) & seem to have a calmer more respectful attitude to money now Which I like W**F

I love that, "Bowie was Pat Jennings" It's my "re-occurring chortle" of the day "drugs or no drugs" (no drugs here, god imagine me on them...) It's changed my view forever.... W**F
  17. I personally... Prefer ol' Davey B up front You know him, Dave "Put on your Red shoes & dance the Blues" Bowie.. Nutmeg, then a shimmy......BANG....into the back of the net How does he do it ? W**F
  18. Basically.. " Where's the best shag advertised " Really, if we're being honest W**F

  20. Look.. Get real, in this day & age nearly all so called "confidential" material eventually leaks out Look how much info is already in the public domain & how it got there. There are those who are privy to this so called "protected information" that have a vested interest, moral or skewed; to leak it to the press. Rough justice by proxy & subterfuge as it were I don't particularly care at this juncture wether Venables "identity" is outed or not, the system had given him a massive chance already. That he fu*ked it up is his problem. He's incarcerated now and off the streets, and really what is actually being protected here ? The protection agencies "created identity" ( in it's self a lie ), the judicial system & those who set up this experiment Nice...! W**F

Dog is a "pit bull" & look at the way it's looking at him, ready to pop his head with one snap of it's lethal jaws As an aside & heavens forbid should you ever wish to "posses" one of these f*****s ( take up crack & heroin smoking, it's way safer ) That they can bite at up to 2400 psi, easily breaking your arm like a twig. As a comparison a German shepherd bites at 400ish psi, a Rotweiler at around 750 Which is nice, really W**F
  22. We... All went to see "Alice in Wonderland" on Saturday afternoon at the i-max 3D I know it "the story" veers off the path, plus he adds a few elements to create a watchable narrative, even turning "Narnia" like near the end But...I still loved it, as a visual trip it was fantastically made & the costumes were fabulous darling. Johnny Depps voices as the hatter are spot on as is his performance. My two boys were enthralled. Micro w**f who is nearly six wasn't too scared neither, in fact he said "It is just a movie Dad , I'm ok" I did manage to "permanently borrow" a pair of those 3D specs, so look out for me wearing them on a street near you soon Anyway , go see it " Naughty... " It's fun.. W**F
  23. Oh... Shut up I love quiz nites , though I am absolutely "maller" at them The best are always the ones where the drunk guy (who also has an IQ of 165) props up the bar "Winston Churchill May 1942" or whatever the answer is in a shouty "6 pints" whisper The egg heads who want to win get the right hump too For further antagonism I like to call the team "And in first place with 300 points" just to add to the evening of fun Ahhh... Yes indeede I just know you'd love to be my friend.... W:)-DF
  24. It's... " Behind you..." ( this is the "Panto" thread, isn't it ? ) W**F
  25. Don't... Get me wrong, I like shiny new modern 21st century architecture very much But, is it me or does "The Shard" look like a regular tower block, with some pointy bits leaning up against it I will probably grow to love it like the "The Gherkin" which I thought looked more like a "Butt Plug" at first There again it still does, though we all know it is the "Butt Plug" we go along with "The Gherkin" name out of politeness, for tourists & the like Imagine going into a chip shop & being served a real "Gherkin" that shape; come on please, what would you think "Butt" & "Plug" first, then maybe "pickled/brined cucumber" second, wouldn't you.. Really ? W**F (It's OK , I know your answer already)
