  1. Has anyone been using the p13 in the last few days and how is it running? I'm just wondering if it is safe to rely on it to get me back from Streatham in time to collect my daughter from morning school nursery in ED tomorrow. Was going to leave myself 1hr for the journey. Thanks for any advice you can offer
  2. Thank you Aaron. How kind of you to give all of these thoughts/experiences. I know I will be revisiting your words for inspiration with my children.
  3. The sessions are free. Tea/coffee 50p.
  4. I need to start getting my daughter prepared for this as she goes to school in September. At the moment I wipe for her.
  5. I think that the assorted surfaces are due to those sections belonging to the shops/buildings, rather than being part of the pavement. If that is the case then I believe you may put a car or something else on your own land, but you don't necessarily have the right of way across the pavement to get it there. Typically I think a dropped kerb would indicate right of way.
  6. A new Pre school is just opening in the Goose Green Centre (church hall of st Johns goose green). Buds preschool. Not sure exactly when its opening.
  7. Hello Srisky. As with most things about the bjcm, it works quite well for me at 5'3 but is not that easy for 6' dh. He finds it awkward to stear. Saying that, our daughter is pretty tall for her age, maybe a bit more like the average 5 year old, who wouldn't be on a buggy board anyway.
  8. Thinking of taking my two (3 and 1yrs) to cp one o clock club tomorrow. Does anyone know of anything else that is already running after the holiday please? Thank you :-)
  9. In the past I have found Floradix tonic really helpful during the tough winter months. Was thinking of splashing out and getting some this wknd actually.
  10. Slightly gross to wash, but I really believe that hankies are gentler on the nose, especially when they've been washed a few times. You can have a whole load of them with you and use as if they're tissues to avoid revolting 'finding a clean bit' issues!
  11. When I went on a tour of Horniman the other day the head said they are considering bulging and will confirm in January.
  12. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?29,977316,977316#msg-977316 Here's one thread about slings.
  13. I haven't experienced bronchiolitis but do have 2 children with a 2 and three quarter year age gap. If you haven't already done so, it could be really helpful to order a really snug sling that you can keep little one in most of the time including breast feeding in. Having your hands free for the older child and being constantly there for your little one is a lovely combination and I imagine might really help in your situation. Sorry I don't know which sling is best but I think a search on here will bring up a couple of useful threads about it.

Just so you get back > to the feeling of each other's bodies... Ouch, just imagining the chafing. I spend approximately 1 hour out of every 3 sitting on a slightly uncomfortable fold up wooden dining chair nursing 1 year old back to sleep. Like Katsu said, "sex, as if!"
  15. Some of them do seem less helpful/accessible than others. I found it very surprising that Goodrich has so little tour availability given that its the largest primary in the whole of Southwark. Here are some dates/info I have collected for those you can go and see Bessemer Grange - turn up any Tues at 9.30am Heber - next Weds, 21st Nov, just turn up goose green - don't know when their next date is, but when they have one they are always on a just turn up basis. New Peckham Harris free school - 26th Nov 9.15 open day New haberdashers free school - 26 Nov 5pm info session (dont know if you have to book) Anyone got any to add?
  16. We went on Tues am and it was really nice and cosy. They have put up various screens to make different play areas and have lots of different things to play with. There were mainly little ones there, but I would try taking my older child (almost 4) one day as they have playdough, painting, drawing etc.
  17. Hello. Does anyone know of somewhere for a special family meal near RAH that would be good for a 3 and 1 year old please?
  18. Maybe there are different rules on various parts of Ferndene Rd. At the end near Denmark Hill you can buy a ticket to cover 12-2. Definitely not just you with the car park. Years ago, when I had no idea of the parking problems down there, I thought driving would be my best bet and ended up missing an appt that I had waited 9 months for. I remember sitting in the car (stopped somewhere I wasn't meant to be) crying down the phone to tell them I couldn't make it.
  19. You can park in Fernedene Road, just above Ruskin Park. There is a charge between about 12 and 2pm I think then free for the rest of the day.
  20. When M stopped wanting to feed, at 15 months, it took me a couple of days to realise it was actually because she had a big mouth ulcer which was making it painful for her to feed. By the time I managed to get the prescription and treat it effectively (about a week) she wasn't interested anymore. I think I would be a lot more pushy about an urgent appointment these days and spend longer trolling the local pharmacies for one with it in stock.
  21. We haven't tried it yet, but think will be using resources from this website when we do http://www.eric.org.uk/Bedwetting/info_bedwetting_wetting_parents Some v interesting info, eg apparently a uti can be a reason for bed wetting, as can constipation. It also help you understand when children might be ready, or not to be dry at night.
  22. WWW.mazuki.com we've just come home from daughters class based at Goodrich school. 6pm is 3-6 yrs 6.30 is the next age group, there may be another class later. She enjoys it, but they are mostly boys.
  23. I'm sure you've thought of this already. You can listen to Jollyphonics on YouTube. A little song for each letter of the alphabet and common sounds, like ph, ch, ow etc.
  24. Most of East Dulwich is very handy for Peckham Rye park or Dulwich Park and they have great open play spaces, playgrounds, adult gyms and pr has a skate park and adventure playground too. Many people drive or bus into the area to use them.
  25. Different scheme; Computershare vouchers, if they are online, have no expiry. The paper ones do.
