  1. Presumably the LTNs will rake the cash in today and tomorrow!?
  2. Just been on Lorsdship lane and it looks like Megan's is about to open? Still with the slightly confusing name. Then I also noticed that Joes Juice Bar & Coffee seems to be opening on the old Saucy site. Along with Pret near the station that is 3 extra..., can this trend be sustainable?
  3. It's opening opposite M&S where William Hill used to be? Kind of confusing name for it given the pub it bit further up is also called The Lordship. Must be reaching peak cafe in ED I think?, with Pret opening at the other old bookies opposite ED station too.
  4. Given fuel costs and the probable economic situation going forward, LTNs might become less of an issue because there will be much less traffic in any case.
  5. Yes it's Monday to Friday regardless of bank holiday or anything else! More ? on to the ?7m+ pile of fines... Chances of the council using that ?7m to reduce all our council tax?
  6. Yes must be cycle hangers, we had exactly the same on Goodrich.
  7. All of them pretty much, hard to keep things fresh season after season. Most serious TV shows decline badly after 7 seasons or so. Excluding soaps etc obviously.
  8. Not really, if you accept people are allowed to break the law then your previously civilised society won't be like that for much longer. Who gets to decide who is allowed to break which laws and for what reasons? 9. There is a nursery and a speed bump very close to there. Seriously reckless driving if really going anywhere near 40mph!
  10. The UK further turning in to lawless hellhole. No better than Catalytic converter theives. No excuse to break the law and damage people's property. Regardless of the cause, its a slippery slope to hell. For what cause is criminal damage acceptable and which not? The police probably won't do anything of course for any kind of crime of that nature. Hopefully whoever is responsible is caught and faces the full consequences of the law. Won't be holding my breath though.
  11. Would they be able to stand in this election as independents? 12. A functional police force is the solution, to catch and prosecute those responsible. The police just aren't interested in this kind of crime currently in my experience. They can steal them in broad daylight sometimes with pretty much total impunity.
  13. How long before police infrastructure gets rebuilt in the area.
  14. Is our national or local government worse? That is a tough call!
  15. You would think thle best place to put a 20mph speed camera is on Barry Road in this area. They have just put speed bumps in to Landels, not sure of the point exactly though as very hard to do 20+ down it before anyway! Is there any actual data on the impact 20mph limit has had v 30?
  16. It's a cash grab. Anyone put FOI request in yet to see how much in fines and payments generated so far? Will be ????????!
  17. Got a Christmas card yesterday, was sent second class on 13/12!
  18. The answer to this is the self service Costa machine in the petrol station on East Dulwich Grove next to Tesco, best you can do I think. Also are some shops open around Peckham on Rye Lane. Not sure why everyone assumes everyone celebrates Christmas or doesn't have to work. It's just another Saturday for quite a lot of people!
  19. Anyone know anywhere in ED or nearby areas that is open on Christmas day that does decent coffee?
  20. The police stations were closed, police numbers were cut, police priorities were changed. Blame politicians who have done this, not the police! In ED for example, we used to have a proper police station on Lordship lane and sub police station on crystal palace road and possibly other locations. The police, like the royal mail and other essential services, have been run in to the ground over the last 20-30 years. 21. I saw a similar looking cat on the corner of Landells and Silvester road this morning. It meowed at me, google maps link to where. https://goo.gl/maps/VSnUNiaDRdbJ3BeW9
  22. How did you get a speeding ticket outside Harris? Police with speed gun? There isn't a fixed camera there?
  23. Not to be a kill joy, isn't Halloween American? Why are we in to it these days, most are just wasting the pumpkins.. Can't we all just stick to the 5th of November and be happy with it..
  24. Good for the kids and teachers if not for the schools finances! oliviaandmilo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Currently class sizes have become smaller in > London as the bulge classes put in place 10/12 yrs > ago can't remember exactly!
