I used to kick a ball against the wall from time to time. Until I missed the wall and lost the ball.

  3. Former Captain Richard Gough comments on Rangers liquidation: Sympathy is thin on the ground amongst the Rangers support for those who ?chased the dream? with Gough blunt and to the point with his anger. ?Lock them up and throw the key away,? he told The Sun. ?The club I gave blood, sweat and tears for is dead. Whose fault is it? I don?t care. ?All I care about is the people who brought Rangers to their knees are punished. Tax evasion is a crime, everyone knows that. If you don?t pay your taxes you go to jail. ?It?s a white-collar crime that must have consequences so if HMRC are really serious about liquidation giving them the best chance to investigate why Rangers failed, I want to see it done properly. ?I want to see the people who are responsible for running Rangers into the ground brought to book. I don?t know if it?s Craig Whyte or whoever but I do know the culprit ? or culprits ? should be locked up.? Gough added: ?I?m still numb by the news 140 years of history has been wiped out in one fell swoop. It?s like a death in the family you know has been coming for a while. ?When it happens it still knocks you for six. It?s difficult to know what to make of it all. Too big to fail, that?s what I always thought. Or maybe it was more to do with not believing a club could be so badly mismanaged. ?This whole sorry episode has been one rat?s nest of corruption. So much of it stinks. It would take someone a long time to start piecing together all the rotten bits of this jigsaw but time might be something HMRC have if they are so determined to clamp down on tax evasion in football. ?When that happens I hope they show no mercy to the people who have destroyed Rangers

Early goal from Spain and they might as well go home. I'm sure Ireland would love to hold out for a Nil Nil. If they lose to Spain, then I do feel for the fans who spent money to go for such a disappointing display. But it was a tough draw from the start and its always a tough tournament to get out of the group, as England know themselves.

With 3 holes to go they were first and second fav, Johnson won and an overall profit of ?150 on the two bets. It seems to be never ending. What will I do with all the money. I might buy a hedge trimmer, to cut down all the hedgies in the local area.

Rather disappointing for Ireland. Croatia deserved the win but there was possibly a bit of good fortune to all three of their goals. So perhaps it was an opportunity missed for Ireland and I can't quite see them getting out of the group. Possibly the draw between Spain Italy may help in the end. Who knows.

Am just back from a boys golf trip so its dinner with the missus tonight, with one eye on the match. Enjoy. Looking forward to the much anticipated titanic struggle between Modric and Keith Andrews in midfield :'(

No England manager would put SAFs needs before that of England.
  10. Did I win again? Go Tiger.
  11. Already on Russia for the Euro's too at 26. Was impressed with them in Ireland's qualifying group. Golf. This week have lost on Rory, Luke, Hunter. Am now big on Tiger for either a win to cover all losses or if he loses its a big loss.
  12. Anyone on the Derby. They are calling it a one horse race. But it's a well known fact that the Guineas winner rarely wins the Derby.
  13. HUGE win on Zach Johnson makes it quite a weekend. Betfair was offering decent money to hedge out but no thanks. I'll back my man until the end. No edgy no hedgy.. :))
  14. Backed Luke so got most of the Rory money back. Have gone big on Zach. Who is tied with Duffner currently in a two horse race. All others are at least 500/1...
  15. This week have already lost big on Rory. But abetting on Zach Thursday and Luke this afternoon could make it a decent weekend after all.

Ireland look a decent team. Have just checked their group and with Spain Italy and Croatia...might be good fun but no cigar. Bit like 1988
  17. I am very strong technically ;-) but even I have (tonight) managed to link my new HTC One X smartphone to my 6 year old Samsung TV ("HD ready" when bought). I bought a media link device from "mobile fun" and connected it to the tv. It then wirelessly displays whatever is on the screen of your mobile phone on your TV screen, for example Netflix / iplayer / photos or whatever else you connect to on your phone. It begs the question - do you actually need an internet tv ?

He considered himself "born an Englishman" no doubt. I'm not sure I'd consider being born an Englishman to be first prize though. There is not a day goes past when I don't take time to thank the Lord that it did not happen to me.
  19. I have been cool too. As cool as the man I backed Well done on your bet. Very well done. But I like to get the winner. Am loving Jason Duffner, he's a dude.
  20. No hedgy, no edgy. :))
  21. GET IN YOU BEAUTY. Quids, you may be a good punter, but this is golf mate. :)-D ?340 wins ...
  22. For me it's 340 or nothing....unless I hedge.
  23. Pride in good shape after wet par at last. Between him and Duffner now it seems.
  24. Henry double bogey on 17.
  25. Duffner slightly better off on 17. Will test JJs nerve this one...duffers has just gone fav
