  4. I first went there in 2000...and stopped going in 2003 after several bad experiences while I was pregnant and with a small baby.... like when I had scrambled eggs and a bagel (pregnancy craving) and the bagel was sent back, burnt, and no replacement appeared for 15 mi ns, by which time the scrambled egg was cold. That was the incident that really put me off, being pregnant and tearful. I complained then and they just shrugged. It's very disappointing that despite the premises makeover, the chef is no faster than the "old days" Anyway, i mailed them now via the site to ask if they intend to respond to the complaint I left.

Apology accepted, but bit surprised you didn't tell me you were changing it! Still, at least I'm not going doolally
  9. Odd, the title of my post "Blue mountain cafe - walked out" seems to have changed itself to "Blue mountain cafe" Is this some technical glitch, or big brother?!! I've changed it back.

Strange way to do it. If so, she's a bit OTT. I don't see why I should be banned from commenting on such poor service that we had to leave without eating and my little boy burst into tears. The proof BMC's long term future is unlikely to be affected by my criticism, is that poor service there has been an issue for many years, yet it still thrives.

And that's > generally a worrying sign. You don't think a 5 year old enjoys having a croissant (and an ice-cream) in a cafe with his mum? You don't think being the mum of newborn twins, I might appreciate a break from making tea? So when i had the gall to take him into the bmc, they were hence correct in not bringing us any food? I find your way of thinking rather odd!

I only tried the BMC again after a break, as the owner assured me the service was better - see my opening post. I have left a written complaint at the BMC, and I'm waiting to see what the response is (if any)

Wanted to have a treat with my 5 year old, I never dreamed an hour wasn't long enough to have a croissant and scrambled eggs. I usually have breakfasts in the cafe by the video shop, but I thought BMC might do icecream or something we could have after the scrambled egg, as it was a treat. In the end I dried his tears and we got icecream in hope and greenwood. I did leave a written complaint at BMC, so we'll see if they get back to me and apologise.

  16. i stopped frequenting the Blue mountain cafe a few years ago due to poor service but met the owner recently at the goose green fair where he assured me things have changed. had a brief window of opportunity away from our new born twins today and took number one child in for a treat. 30 mins after ordering, no sign of our scrambled eggs, so we had to leave. as we got up to go, the food arrived, too late. my son was in tears. very disappointing. it doesn't look like things have improved there after all. the place was virtually empty, not busy at all. excuse one handed typing.
