So do we have any actual evidence or stats on accidents on this road? My personal impression is traffic is slower than it was say 5 years ago on Barry Road, but that's just an impression.

Out of the entire park the churned up areas are what? 0.00?.....% If we want to get like that I'm sure someone playing sport (who probably didn't pay a whacking fee to use it) has at times chewed up a little bit... Perspective people... And maybe, just maybe, some people from the council who were aware of the big picture negotiated this all in advance, and as professionals on our behalf came to an agreement with what appears to be a pretty reasonable festival organiser. From what I read and saw it all seems fine with the exception of music carrying up the hill. If it happens again I'd back anyone and be all in favour of some kind of acoustic barrier that way. Just saying (and thinking a bit)

There's plenty of pre 2007 bikes around which people use as commuter hacks - I had one until six months ago. There was nothing up with it but part of the reason I sold it was the regs and an easy life. Also there are plenty of pre 2007 bikes which are Euro 3 compliant. At the moment there's no clear mechanism to distinguish them (that I know of) and if it's not sorted they'll just throw a blanket charge on the older bikes regardless.

I don't know if there were portakabins there previously, but as of last night what I saw was a couple of containers which would be used for storing equipment.

We have a ridiculously expensive dualit classic kettle, expensive but very quiet.

It made me happy. Always good to spend time with someone who is passionate about something, and the guy who ran it loved his subject. We painted the whole house in paint from there.

I ride a bike and agree with all of the above. Seems mad to do it when most riders are at work though, in my case having ridden there as normal..

We had this a while back. A neighbour's newly acquired car had an oversensitive alarm which chirped almost every time a large vehicle went past and shook it, as we live on a night bus route this meant all night. Once you've noticed it it's hard to ignore... I spent a slightly strange half an hour on the street waiting for buses to come past and working out where it came from!

I passed my bike test in 1989, and still remember and do a "lifesaver every time. "They" have made it harder and harder over the years to get a bike license, with more and restrictions and compulsory training, but it's broadly worked. I'd love to see cyclists offered similar levels of training.
