  1. Ah, one will have to pop into an estate agent then. One does live in SE22 but one's Living South has stopped being delivered also and one is feeling a tad alienated from the community. And a bit short of reading matter.
  2. Spuds'll beat City, every time.
  3. Clive Tyldsley. Clive Tyldsley. Dear God that man's annoying. I've listened to him slowly disappearing up the collective United ar5e for years and last night was the first time I've heard him commentate on City what with us not being in Europe much. It's even worse listening to him commentate on a team you support, constantly trying to put together memorable phrases and sound like everything is historic. And then he has the ignorance to say City (City!) are safe with a two goal lead and can now relax. Clearly a man who has never seen the club play and who knows nothing about football. I just hope Channel 5 have our other games.

Where does one get that from?
  5. Sad to see it go, but I'm sadder to see it in the state it's in. If it was a horse it'd be shot.
  6. Reasonable value today but the Americano is indeed very good. It is, however, freezing in there. Suggest urgent purchase of heating of some kind and a door closer spring thingimajig.
  7. And I have an htc diamond, which is nice. I've had a few touch screen phones back to mda compact and a motorola thing (A800?) donkeys ago. Every time I do I regret it but they are getting better. If you must then the iphone is great at what it does, I fancy trying an N96 though (not touch I know) as mrs ruffers is very happy with N95. Clearly I need a slightly bigger number! I still go back to my K800 though from time to time, and then I get the K750 out. Happy days...
  8. Good idea I reckon. Not as good as fixing it properly but as clearly no one's going to actually do that I'd much rather have a new building at the end of the road. Shame though.

  10. Funny you should mention what colour the lounge is....;-)
  11. Oh dear, he's referring to himself in the third person. Does ruffers not like that?
  12. AllforNun Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Doing alright , Doing alright ..... he is? I reckon he's only trying to please the people who can vote him in again.
  13. EAT - Chicken Pot Pie, which is a soup as we all know. Now that was a tasty lunch.
  14. Are you suggesting that those who are democratically elected should behave in a way contrary to that which will please the voters who have the power to vote them in again? I see a flaw.....

I reckon it's C too, and it's a case of no sh*t Sherlock. People create policies which will be popular with those who have the capacity to vote for them, democracy in action innit?

I reckon they ask you to take your paper with you because all the bins are full at the station...
  17. They've offered to replace an item which was wrong and as a goodwill gesture give you something on top. Seems to me that although you may be reasonably disappointed with that they don't really have to do much more. They could choose to but clearly aren't doing. And someone mentioned Dulwich DIY - in my experience home of the world's worst and rudest customer service to the extent I've tried twice to make purchases in there and walked out. Different people, different experiences....

  21. He said this in January when he was linked with Newcastle though.. "I have a job to do to take this club forward, and to walk away would not have been the right thing to do," said Redknapp. "I'm happy here, people treat me well and I felt a loyalty to the club and the fans." Just not that much loyalty eh? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/7180147.stm
  22. People who pause for a second at the bottom of escalators, just before they step off, causing a ripple effect of stationary people who are trying to walk (on the left of course). This leads to a situation much like on a motorway when you end up crawling along for a while and then speed up again with no apparent reason. Why this annoys me in particular is that I'm pretty sure these people have no idea of the impact they're having. Also - the free Sport magazine that gets given out on Friday's isn't given out inside London Bridge. This means I have to get off the train, walk outside the station and then back in to collect mine thus wasting valuable seconds and almost definitely making me late for work.
  23. For proper cheap you'd need to head over the hill to the Weatherspoons at Forest Hill. Hardcore drinking.
