Lame window cleaning scam - Goose Green area
dbboy replied to se22cat's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
What's the name of your firm, I'm sure lots of people would appreciate it so we know a reliable window cleaning business -
Go back to the shop, exlpain you are not happy, ask why they put a thin rear tyre on and request that that replace it with a thick knobbly tyre. If they don't, come back on here and name and shame.

Another Land Rover stolen from St aidans Road
dbboy replied to Lcpt's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
He's had his Land Rover nicked, clearly upset, annoyed and probably angry seeing as though it's the second one they have had nabbed. A bit of compassion might not go a miss? Lcpt - really sorry to hear this. A couple years ago a neighbour had theirs stolen in the early hours of the morning from outside there house, now parks it on drive with a ground security bollard in front. -

Sephiroth - No, not at all. Clearly as a remoaner you appear fixated with not being able to accept the referendum result. It's what the people voted for, accept it and move on. -

Cameron posed the question and duly quit because he was a remainer, May picked up the poison chalice and got her fingers burned, next Boris who is a bumbling buffoon. As I said earlier, with ministers resigning on Wednesday, if he takes office, don't forget Hunt may win????, but if Boris as predicted wins, the cabinet revolts or are revolting, then Corbyn seeks a vote of no confidence in the Govt, a GE is called, no overall winner, Corbyn loses badly and is duly ousted, where does that leave the UK, even more up a creek without a paddle. -

Remain or leave, you want to remain and can't accept the result of a democratic vote. Oh, and give up on the crass and patronising you're English remarks. -

Options are; 1) Stay and see what happens, come what may. (and from what is being said this morning in the press looks like at least five ministers intend to resign from Govt if Johnson becomes PM).Which means the Govt could potentially fall IMO he's a car crash just waiting to happen again and will be a disaster for the UK, he opens his mouth without first engaging his brain). OR 2) Leave and re-settle in another country if the thought of leaving the EU is so hard to accept. -

Exactly, people didn't know what they were voting for and or more importantly what the consequences would be. -

Yes Malumbu - you've got me totally banged to rights, up in front of the beak in the morning and off to the cells! I was tiring of the lack of acceptance that a referendum had been held and a majority (rightly or wrongly) and more than likely without sufficient information being available to them at the time about the consequences, had made a choice. Since then the Govt of the day have made a total hash of the whole process of following through on the referendum, which is where the bit of democracy came into play. But both major parties play the same game in changing leaders and at the same time wanting to remain in power, which is understandable. The way I see things is that MP's are voting how they wish to vote personally and not as their constituency voted in the Referendum. Had they done so, the UK may already have left the EU. And just maybe what the country actually needs now to sort this mess out and to take UK plc forward is for a General Election, with the potential result of neither major party having a majority and ending up with another coalition? As for Farage et al, until he wins a seat in the UK Parliament all he effectively is, is a mouth piece for get the UK out of Europe, with no power and the other countries of the EU openly laughing at the predicament and decision made by the UK to leave. Would another Referendum solve anything - I have absolutely no idea. -

Why don't you tell us WHAT the march is about rather than yap on about the when, where and who, yeah, who are these celebs, never heard of them. You appear to be a bunch of anti Boris remainers or is that Remoaners??????? A bit of transparency (honesty) would help. Have you not heard of democracy???????? The Govt/Parliament are trying to (badly stop the outcome of the referendum which a majority voted for) -
Great to have CGF! posting again, always makes me chuckle.

Did anyone see a Clarkes coach scrape my car last week?
dbboy replied to mikeb's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Clarkes coach was parked up on Forest Hill Road this morning. -
Forest Hill Road used to take pass port photo's, don't know if that continued when the new tenants took over running the post office there, or otherwise try Krystals on Nunhead Lane/Evelina Road

Horniman Gardens - Proposed changes to the Gardens
dbboy replied to dbboy's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I wonder if those properties/households who are going to be in close proximity to the new Kinder cafe are aware of the intentions of the Gardens of the changes that are being planned and the impact it will have on their family life? Do planning regulations apply to the Gardens or can they do as they please and build what ever they like in the grounds of the Gardens. How sightly or unsightly will the two proposed walkways from the terrace where the bandstand is to the nature walk over the dog field and former boating lake to the nature trail? Bet you didn't know that The Gardens have taken back control of the nature walk and it no longer is the responsibility of Lewisham Council (Lewisham have legally handed ownership back to the Hornimans). Who will be responsible for the night walk path which runs from London Road to Westwood Park in parallel to the nature walk? Will, do the Hornimans intend to open the entire length of the nature walk from London Road to the gates on Langton Rise behind all the odd numbered houses on that part of Westwood Park? Security issue me thinks??? The proposed changes open up a whole can of questions which I think the Hornimans need to provide answers to? Please take the time to respond both positively and negatively, depending on your point of view to the proposals put forward by the Hornimans. The 22nd July, the cut off date for responses to be received is fast approaching, make your views known. -
Horniman Gardens - Proposed changes to the Gardens
dbboy replied to dbboy's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Seems that those that have posted so far are in favour of the changes. When the Gardens change out of all recognition from the current place of peace, tranquillity and sanctuary between London Road, Westwood Park and Horniman Drive that they are, and are turned into a number of attractions don't come back and complain when this piece of greenery is altered forever.
