I bet BOCT are more than happy with you as well. All the way to Staffordshire? ? For a tree? ? Not particularly cost effective from ED, or fuel efficient, or environmentally friendly, on the basis in just over thirty days it'll get chucked out!!!!!!!

A house in Grierson Rd next to Honor Oak Pk station usually have a pretty spectacular display (for charity)

Support our own East Dulwich tree sellers

You'll probably find that the vast majority of tree's are sourced from New Covent Garden Market unless the seller buys direct from a grower. -
Surely lack of stock is down to poor re-ordering, not getting shelves replenished over night, lines not being available either due to supply issues or lack of stock coming into the distribution warehouse, or just poor local management. Either way, customers leave frustrated and either accept it or eventually shop elsewhere. My shopping includes currently going to the bakers in Nunhead, the butcher on Peckham Pk rd, possibly either Morrisons or Asda or Tesco either for specific items not available in other super markets or for specific brands or deals, and the inevitable trips every few weeks to Lidl again for specific items.

Yes, however the smaller local stores are more expensive than the bigger stores

don't know about new management, but looks like they rotate "management trainees" into stores so they get a first hand grounding in store management life and dealing with us the general public customers.

No,as have three months to appeal

Best line to come out of yesterday was Johnson saying "lets be Corbyn neutral by Christmas", whether it was off the cuff or scripted, oh how it made me chuckle.

Until Brexit is sorted and even then for at least 2 yrs after the property market will remain difficult, if you don't need to sell and can afford to hang around do so. Unfortunately it's a buyers market and buyers are ruthless, they'll use every underhand trick they can to get a lower price. When they have the survey done question everything it says when the buyer tries to use this to negotiate the price down. Ultimately as seller you do not need to accept the first, second or even third offer they make. If you set yourself a lower limit stick to that, it's your choice if you sell or stick it out.

Funniest thing this morning on radio 4 was Angela Rayner boasting that when she was Education minister on 13th December she'd abolish tuition fee's. It was so arrogant of her, it was cringe worthy. Can't wait till the 13th to see her swept away.
-
Cheristams day is well over six weeks away. If they want to promote do so from the start of December. Similarly the hype of Black Friday, actually I find the term Black in Black Friday offensive, why not call it sales Friday, but then its yet another American thing that has been introduced to get people who can't afford it to spend money they don't have and get into further debt. But the companies don't care as long as they have the opportunity to fleece any mug stupid enough to get caught up in the hype. Similar to all the hype for Christmas, again get people to spend money they don't have, can't afford and have not thought through the consequences, till the debt collector arrives to get their dues. Nice

But it's not going to happen like you say. No party will have a majority and my current prediction is 1.tory, 2 brexit party, 3. lib dems, 4. labour. this election is all about tactical voting, so if you live in a constituency and you want shot of your MP, vote for the party most likely to have more votes than the current MP gets. For example, if your MP switched parties without having a by - election and you want them out, then you know what you need to do.
-
Even his own Party want rid, hence Watson leaving before being ejected by the Stalinist/Lenin momentum. The only way to get the necessary result is for tactical voting this time as their will be no clear majority. What did Labour do as they were booted out of office (2007 - 2010), oh yes, leave a note in the Treasury saying, by the way the country is broke. It's time for the people to take back control from the gravy train politicians who are supposed to represent US, rather than doing what they want. We put them into power, we have the capability of taking that away from them, particularly all those who have switched Parties without facing a by-election. Now is the time to face the electorate and take what's coming, a huge backlash. The only way to get the necessary result is for tactical voting this time, as their will be no clear majority, so get the best of a bad bunch.
-
was talking in general not specifically
-
It depends what constituency you are in. Unless you support a particular party, suggest tactical voting is the way to de-seat MP's on the gravy train so you get an MP who represents your views and votes the way the constituents want, rather than the MP voting how they want, which is why Parliament became stagnant and got UK plc in the mess it is now.

In the good "old" days kid's would have made a Guy and asked passers on the street for"penny for the guy". You don't see that any more, in fact I've not seen it for years, shame though as another proper UK tradition fades into the abyss. Halloween is nothing more than yet another americanised commercial money making scheme brought from the US to here, which the UK has unfortunately copied. I wonder how many used the pumpkin for food before throwing the carcass out the next day?? Well quite frankly they can keep their so called "tradition" of asking for candy, the less we have to do with the US the better, especially when its run by a clown, who opens his mouth before engaging his brain into gear. Pretty much sums up America though.

Could soggy bottoms be causing pizza saturation in SE22? I do prefer mine to be nice and crisp.

Extinction Rebellion: events and actions [edited subject to be more general]

I wonder what type of material was used and if it was cotton or some man made material and if the used materials can be recycled and plastic bottles being used for drinking aids, etc. etc. etc. -

There is so much that can be done, the supermarkets could make a huge difference if they wanted do. Brown paper bags for fruit and veg, like it used to be No one use plastic bags for taking fruit/veg to the checkout, home and discarded Butchers - wrap in paper not plastic sheets. Deli counter - ditto Remove plastic packaging and replace with cardboard type materials
