Can anyone tell me the exact area that Helen Hayes Represents please? I understand it's college ward, but I am unsure which streets are covered by college ward. Thanks.

I understand money is tight, but is it not possible to apply for funding in order to subsidise this further to allow low income families access? My nephews in North london attend one regularly, it's free, because it is run by the council. They are applying for funding in order to be run independently and costs will be subsidised. Is this a possibility?

Goose Green I think that's a big part of the problem, it is a complicated system that we do not fully understand, and we vote unaware of the implications. The Tory narrative is easy to follow. You don?t have to know much about what?s going on to believe it, and it fits the modern media model where long-term, chronic issues are ignored in favor of short-term results and immediate crises. Everyone reports that UK growth figures were better this year than Germany?s were, but no one reports that Germany is still in a much better position relative to where it was 5 or 7 years ago than Britain is now. It?s easy for people to think of government spending the way they think of their own pocketbooks. It?s hard to show people how and why the government?s relationship to money is very different from that of a business or household. Not only do people have to understand the arguments, but they have to understand the basic concepts underlying those arguments. How many voters even understand how the interest rate affects economic growth or inflation? How many even understand what a multiplier is, let alone the research about how big it might be? How many know how a devaluation works, or know what a liquidity trap is? The Tories tell a great morality story about a profligate and irresponsible Labour Party that creates a horrible economic crisis from which only the Tories can save everyone. The left has to explain why that simple story isn?t true. I think this may be where Labour failed

Robin DNa of blood etc is used but fabric analysis a lot less so.
-
Robbin that is not true, apparently the focus on fabric analysis has been greatly reduced....Do you acknowledge that there have been cuts in this area? forensics are extremely concerned about the way In Which the police use forensics in criminal cases, and the impact of this in terms of an increase in wrongful convictions? And or people not being convicted due to insufficient evidence. besides if you wish to discard this fine. However I don't think you can deny the impact that the human rights act had on the Stephen Lawrence case can you?
-
Forensic scientists use fabric analysis at the scene of a crime and it was used in Stephen Lawrence's case and helped to convict the murderers as well as Soame murder and others. It's a dying skill, they use more mobile, computer analysis now, which although is useful, does not cover all particulars in every case. I think it's cheaper and relies more on approved Streamlined police forensics and is more likely to increase wrongful convictions as anaysis more subject to police opinion rather than an objective scientific analysis. I believe forensic reliability has been extremely low as a result of this. Vital aspects of a case can be missed. See my previous post also. Khan would not have taken the case had Lawrence case had it not been for the Human Rights

Stop being such a > melodramatic twat believing everything you see on > Social Medis about the fascist Tories. I despair. ??? is it necessary to debase the debate without insults? you seem determined to defend your position, yet you have missed my point entirely...... The problem is putting ultimate sovereignty into British courts, paricularly as they lean so heavily oN Forensic science which is being increasingly led by the police and not by forensic scientists. There is less fabric analysis and more on looking at social networking and computer communications...hence more likelihood of false I criminal ion or people being let off due to insufficient evidence Steven Lawrence's lawyer himself said "The worst thing this government could do is abolish the Human Rights Act. The Lawrences could have got justice in 1993 had it been in force at the time by saying we need a public inquiry because there was a right to life," the laywer said. There was an immediate impact when it came into force in 2000, Khan observed. "I see the next big challenge as defending human rights in this country because without it all the gains we have made and the language that we speak will completely change." Just because the Tories nor labour didn't mention it it doesn't mean it's not worth mentioning does it? Has the brainwashing had such an amazing effect on people that we can't see past it?

Michael Gove minister of justice..... With cutbacks, dumbing down and forensic science being passed down to the police, there inevitably will be more miscarriages of justice than ever before. If we get rid of the Human Rights act, prisons will be bulging. I don't think Any party who wishes to rid us of the Human Rights Act should be in Government. It will no doubt be our biggest loss.

We all burn the same way...... Let's see how things develop now. The worst thing about this is that the fire station is being converted to luxury apartments........ Conservatives, for the people and a fair, just society http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/firefighters-cry-as-10-london-stations-including-clerkenwell-close-due-to-cuts-9050079.html

Lower figures of unemployment are partly because of people going self employed, and not necessarily earning more than the unemployed due to economic instability and not many people spending....

Like I said....best of a bad bunch..... Those worth a vote don't stand a chance this time round..... Economic growth would have been better under labour..... Surely that's enough incentive in the current climate. Till we improve on the situation as a whole..... http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/may/05/election-issues-media-ignoring-nation-arrested-development?CMP=share_btn_fb

Like the idea...what would it be co operative housing? Wish we did this for the old community centre on lordship lane, and kept it as a community arts space. The Picturehouse....what a soulless place that is, and absolutely not necessary, brixton is mins away. -
Actually Louise I think it's a good idea. Cameron refers to it as a joke, but millions of people actually respect Brand's views and are equally disillusioned by British politics. He isn't one to conform, so if he was convinced enough by Milliband to admit it ain't perfect but it's the best we can do as a country to vote labour, Milliband must have been saying something right. Cameroon is sooo removed from the people, he can't even see it's potential, politically or superficially. It's true, Brand took a long time in seeing sense in tactical voting, but it's certainly not been overnight! It could have had more impact, if it was done before the registration deadline.......

It's clear to me that it's a question of the best of a bad bunch....the link below is worth a look. However, if as predicted its a hung parliament, is it better to vote labour and a green seat so that we get labour and green coalition? Rather than labour and any of the others? Sorry if I sound Ill informed, but I don't think I am alone in not fully understanding the paper when I am in the voting booth. http://benjaminstudebaker.com/2015/05/02/britain-for-the-love-of-god-please-stop-david-cameron/

JRG and all you other fast swimmers....how about some tips on how to swim faster? I am Not saying that this is the answer. However, as I am self taught and often too fast for the medium lane and not really enjoying the fast lane as there are usually people in there determined to bash me, to prove a point, in spite of letting them pass whenever I can. It means I have to pause all the time, in the both lanes, or perhaps be accused of intimidating people when in fact, I just want to Have a good swim like everyone else....

If you have condensation issues its best not to dry clothes indoors. Open windows a crack in bathrooms particularly after bathing/showering, maybe get a fan that runs quietly the whole time but has a sensor to boost power when needed.
