  1. This thread makes me feel crushed and devalued.

Some bloke spotted a guitar outside a charity shop and told his son he could have it, and wondered the moral standpoint on doing as such. It's not exactly theft, but you're showing yourself to be cheap and morally redundant - it's obvious the pile of stuff is intended for the charity shop.

Maybe go through a proxy if you're really trying to cover your tracks. I've actually been subtly suggesting you all shop at the Irish shop under multiple logins for years now. It's nearly a full-time job.
  6. Was this actually a headline from the South London Press last week? I nearly spat chai all over the window of the newsagent where I saw this displayed. We're not far off 'bag of tools stolen from a shed but was later returned" here.
  7. I can't think of any picturesque routes - one way would be to walk past the Horniman, carry on through Forest Hill and then bear north, but I cycle that route fairly often and it's not what I would call remarkable. Otherwise Nunhead Lane, right at the bottom and through New Cross - but again, not much of note on the way.
  8. awesome thread guys

My budget alternative: Superglue a ball-bearing into the allen key socket on anything on your bike that isn't the frame (obviously after you've adjusted it to where you want it) Whenever you need to remove your seatpost etc you just need to apply superglue remover, wait about 10 mins and then it will have dissolved.
  11. What kind of lock was it out of interest?

    selling a book

From a lengthy PR/marketing background I'll say that she us jiggered without some sort of selling point. Have you seen how many books there are out there? Why should I buy hers over anything else? Come up with an answer to that, work out who would potentially buy it and then work out where those people go,both online and offline. Then either generate puff pieces to go with the book - presuming it's interesting, or use some kind of social media thingum to drum up interest. PS this usually costs money unless you know what you're doing.
  15. Some chap has done a wonderful deconstruction of their latest flyer here www.crooksdesign.co.uk/stock-photography-misuse.html
  16. I'm glad it exists, even though I don't drink there. But I doubt they sell bitter.

Um... donations at a guess? There's a 'donation-o-meter' on their site - http://bnp.org.uk/2008/12/ybnp%E2%80%99s-%E2%80%98billy-brit%E2%80%99-proves-to-be-a-hit/ They are still a joke party who can't debate and have no watertight policies. I say bring in PR instead of our joke electoral system and let them get representation, if they were given a serious political platform rather than 'comedy' status they'd quickly be demolished.
  19. Is that some allusion to 'fascism'? I thought Rik Mayall politics died with the Young Ones. surely if their leaflets were banned from being posted it would actually give them more publicity ? Denying even extreme left- or right groups a voice is more dangerous than allowing them to speak - better to let their arguments fall flat through discourse and debate rather than supression
  20. I don't think the Royal Mail is endorsing the BNP by distributing their leaflets. If you had enough cash you could do the same thing. The only crimes here are the ones against graphic design on their leaflet.
  21. This forum blow crime and mugging out of proportion? Never! We're in the middle of a turf war. On a global scale. NB you are approximately 50 times safer than you were in North London.

  23. Whenever I ride my bike around East Dulwich I never have this problem. I can't see why you need to drive to the shops if you live in the area. I guess parking fines are just a laziness tax, when you think about it.
  24. Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Quite funny - are state schools still exempt from > this flu? I guess state schools don't often have school trips that involve travel to Mexico* *disclaimer, I have no idea if this stems from that, there's no way I'm reading through 6 pages of thread to find out though
