new bar on LL - BoHo Bar where amusement arcade used to be
lenk replied to Mick Mac's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
It's attracting the wrong crowd already. I only drink organic 2001 Chateau Musar, do they have the correct Lebanese serving thimbles? I simply won't drink anywhere that doesn't. My pram won't fit through the door. I saw a man who didn't look right stood outside, close it down. It's too noisy. It's not noisy enough. -
I got the leaflet and took all the precautions, shame I also got a Jiffy bag full of anthrax sent the same morning. :(

There's a certain Blake mural that isn't to my tastes, maybe we could have that building torn down? And have you seen all the graffiti on the roof on Somerfield?

There are far, far worse things I can think of that could be painted on a van and parked outside your house.

Tired of Ripped to the Gills Coke Fiends on LL (Lounged)

I think you're allowed to confiscate drugs from people whilst in uniform, but just you try confiscating drugs from people whilst in plain clothes and saying you're a policeman. They never fall for it. : ( -

I wish that just for once somebody would please think of the children. -
THIS IS AN OUTRAGE. (+40000 NIMBY points for this thread.. )

(!!!) - It seems to be at most 6 holes, the greens don't look up to much (from my vantage point from the park above the reservoir) and looks like it would take all of half an hour to do a 'round'. Don't you just love golf? Sport of kings men who failed to get into the masons.

I find most coke you get these days isn't strong enough to make your teeth grind. I can't see anyone wanting to be awake that long in ED though - maybe they've overdosed on lattes? -

Has anyone played on the one on top of the reservoir? I'd be interested in getting on there to take some photos more than anything else.

I've seen them being driven around. There's one down by Camberwell Green as well. Seeing as they aren't actually parked illegally I can't see why they would be moved on.

I did check once - something like ?40 a round summer green fees. don't know if you're female (your username suggests not) or not but the usual 'females and juniors have no course standing' nonsense applies.

Scammed on Lordship Lane - not sure?
lenk replied to wee quinnie's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
you would think her 'dad' might have been able to wire her some money.. but maybe her flight back was tomorrow? No idea what she would be doing in Bedford - unless she was flying back out of Luton and staying with someone up there overnight? That's exactly what you would do if you lost a passport... except ED is hardly on the tourist trail, you'd assume she'd have been visiting someone in ED who would have been able to lend her the money... -

Does anyone have a link to a news story confirming there was a stabbing? Would be interested to read it.

Papers - multiple points of view. Care taken to ensure accuracy. Libel laws. Person on messageboard I've never met - could be wrong. No incentive to check accuracy of posting. Can misrepresent fact. This thread has morphed into something vaguely ridiculous, I was only saying I take most / all of what I read on here with a pinch of salt (more so that I would a newspaper) - I'm sure this crime was very serious etc etc - er, back to the thread.

I have neither - what exactly would the 'chip' be about? Should I toe the party line from now on? Imagine the frenzies we can work ourselves into!
