Do you mean in the old DHSS building on Peckham High Street? That sounded quite legendary, for a few months in the early 90s.
  2. Can I ask what sound system you're thinking of getting? If it were big enough I could run the dubstep stage if needs be.

  5. November seems like such a long time ago. Especially the 9th.

I must have been on drugs when I ate there. Strong, mind-altering drugs. I feel like I've let everyone down. I could never eat anywhere with a dumb blonde tart's photo outside.
  8. Surma's fish jalfrezi was made with frozen poor-quality tilapia :( Compare with Tayyabs Karahi fish...
  9. Why don't we just go back to putting the massive yellow 'incident' signs up? Because that's what these threads are the online equivalent of. They could put a hyperlink to the inevitable EDF thread as a footer on them for iPhone users.

I'll make sure I'm careful out there.
  12. Does anywhere sum up middle-aged, middle-class mundanity better than Waitrose? (This is Rhetorical. Our panel would also accept 'New Yorker subscription and a refusal to set foot in a McDonalds, even if you needed the toilet')
  13. You can?t get rid of something just because you don?t like it though. If he?s not breaking the law, then he?s not breaking the law. I couldn?t give a flying monkey?s about ?eyesores?. Have you ever looked around London? The entire place is an eyesore. It?s why it?s good. If you want bucolic tranquillity with an uncluttered landscape, I can suggest a few places you could consider living.

Hence why I clicked on this one. I?ve scanned it for ?dogging code?, but so far, nothing : (

  16. Poster on ED forum has aneurysm over supermarket, could shop somewhere else, decides to post on forum instead
  17. ???? Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Wheras I spend my whole time at weekends bumping > into people I've insulted on the EDF Is it just me who eyes people closely around ED wondering if they are forum posters? I was in The Gowlett recently and the barman started talking about the EDF and I tried to imagine who he might be on here *waves*
  18. ratty Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Come on Louisa, it's cos it's a nice area and the > fact that Peckham, Camberwell and Brixton are jam > packed full of c**ts! Yeah! And ED has an um, messageboard too! All of my friends in each of the areas you describe must be idiots! Look at them, with their broken dreams and their poverty and stuff!

  20. How do you suggest the post office makes money then? Should they abandon all of the services you describe? Yes, because privatising it would do wonders for us all. For one thing, unprofitable personal mail would be downgraded - and probably take longer to deliver. Private ownership will lead to thousands of redundancies, a reduction in services and higher prices.

A book of stamps is around ?2.40 - you could keep them in a drawer until next time you needed one -they are legal tender - you could go and have a swift half using the remaining 5 -make a collage -sell them back to people outside the post office for a profit -become a 'man of letters'

As far as I can tell they are bringing the area down. Keep up Snorky.
  23. I'm going to bookmark this thread for later in the year for when it's full to the rafters with the 'wrong crowd', and the owners are drinking from a golden bucket of diamonds and swimming in their pool of money - much to the disdain of the EDF.
  24. Brendan Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What ever happened to thrash metal > and joints in the park? That's a great evening right there. Might start a weekly session on the Rye. Japanese Garden, Fridays from 7pm ; )
