i think a trim for older gentlemen long eyebrows is fine because my dad gets it done when he gets his hair cut. Men do not razor your eyebrows - you'll have your eye out.

I vote no. My exception to this rule is the mono brow which is acceptable if it is plucked a bit but I don't like it if it is plucked far too neatly.

make a countdown calendar and cross the days off to show you that one day it will be over. Also it's important to try and have some time off even if it's just a 20min soak in the bath.

I left my money in a cash point on oxford street about ?60 i think. I realised about 10 seconds after though so turned back to find a woman who was behind me in the queue holding it and staring at it. I think she was deciding if she was going to keep it or not - was quite funny really. It's nice to have a nice happy story on the forum. Sorry about your money though Jah Lush.

I don't think it's new either and sadly it's always going to happen. I agree with brendan but i also want to add living in fear of crime = bad, being aware and vigilent = good

"Up to 60,000 young people, mostly male, may be stabbed and injured each year, the equivalent of more than 160 victims a day, according to a worst-case estimate for knife violence in England and Wales. On the other hand, the figure may be around 22,000 each year for victims aged 10 - 25-year-old." I found that on the telgraph webiste googling just now it's from 2007 and there must be more up to date articles but even if it is the lower estimate of 22,000 10 -25 year olds that is a hell of a lot of people and I certainly haven't read about all of them. Some stories the media just don't report, not just knife crime or muggings. I know my quote isn't the most specific but I haven't done much work today so i just had a quick look because i must get my work bum in gear.

Is ED about to experience another property boom?
sophiesofa replied to Emily's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I completely agree. Renting is most definitely a good option for lots of people and for some people it is not throwing money down the drain. I have only rented before and have lived in lots of cheap/crap flats in order to save for my deposit. I think 100%+ mortgages and even 95% mortgages are crazy and just asking for trouble. I am a sado and my ambition has always been to buy a flat and do it up which is what i've been saving up for years for, and I am not buying beyond what we (me and my boyfriend) can afford in mortgage payments. I didn't mean to imply that renting is throwing down the drain for everyone. -

It was never headline news and rightly so becauce the newspapers already have too much doom and gloom. My point is that these incidents occur accross the country frequently but most of them we just don't hear about. There are lots of evil people out there and we need to be aware of that but not live in fear.

Lenk a lot of stabbings and such never make it to the media. A man (with a family, not in a gang) was stabbed to death in Greenwich a few weeks ago and it never made it to the news. Just because it hasn't made it to the news doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I think people are angry because for some people the few grand they're skimming means the difference between their family eating baked beans on toast every day and a proper meal. What really worries me is how the MP's have time for their additional jobs, I work full-time and do a bit of freelanceing on the side for extra money but how on earth do some of them earn an extra 100k whilst supposedly doing their job as an MP.

Oh dear i hope this doesn't end in verbal fisticuffs

Thanks Loz very interesting

I think it's a mugging and a stabbing lenk seeing as the poor girl was mugged and as a result of it not going to plan stabbed.

Good for him, and I'm very glad he's alright. My boyfriend got punched on the back of the head and knocked to the ground walking past a bus stop completely minding his own business. My male flatmate got punched in the face walking past a weatherspoons also minding his own business. They both happened in Greenwich which turns into one horrible giant chav celebration on a friday night. Yes I agree that men are more likely to be victims of completely unprovoked attacks like those above but I think muggings probably (i admit i am of course no expert) occur more frequently therefore women are more slightly more vulnerable when out and about on their own? I am definitely not for people hiding in their own homes, no-one be they a man, woman, elderly or whatever should feel like they're too scared to leave the house but common sense is called for.

ooh a greyhound, can't see it myself. I think she has permenantly pursed but somehow pouty lips but then 2 of the other women have nearly no lips at all so it all evens out.

Oh my goodness I always thought Groove in the heart was called Groovers in the hall. I also thought Take That's only takes a minute girl was Only takes a mini girl though so I obviously need to get my ears checked. There's that Blue (i think) song that goes on about a girl who he's dancing up close with makes it 'hard' for him - i love and hate that one.
-
Do men really get mugged more than women? I don't know any men that have been mugged but I know quite a few that women who have. I just don't see why a mugger would pick a man to mug over a woman. I think men are more likely to be the victim of some violent crimes because of things like pub arguments etc.
