  1. Only if its a Miele.
  2. Had you down as more of a X5 man myself.
  3. If you're ever in the area, check out the new highwalk on London Wall in the City. Lots of vertical wall planting. Main issue to me seems to be irregation.
  4. Update - Southwark have been in contact with Meadow again. https://www.southwark.gov.uk/news/2018/oct/statement-from-southwark-council-on-meadow-residential-and-dulwich-hamlet-football-club
  5. Looks like OFO are scaling back their presence in East Dulwich, Peckham and Camberwell. https://www.southwarknews.co.uk/news/25692-2/#.W782qCgn-dl.mailto
  6. You could try the font of all Dulwich knowledge that is Brian Green, proprietor of the Art Stationers / Toyshop in Dulwich Village.
  7. Do you all realise that this is a continuation of a thread from 2011 ? PittChao only posted the once on this thread - probably a bot.
  8. Not shooting pheasant this year then Bob ? And surely you're more of an Ocado man or when you say supermarket I presume you mean Waitrose.
  9. I'm certainly not an apologist for VM however I did discover that they offer a service specifically aimed at providing a priority support for those that work from home / run a home business. It costs ?10 a month. How good it is, god only knows. https://store.virginmedia.com/discover/broadband/homeworks.html
  10. At least ring the retention dept and get some money back. They?ve offered me a one off ?50 credit and 30% of my monthly bill for a year. If you (or anyone else) is thinking of switching EE have a good deal on at the moment and if you sign up via topcashback you get a ?100 back.
  11. Gone again. Just off East Dulwich Grove.
  12. I have used Goddens before and was very pleased with the outcome. I'm need to contact them again as I too have a crack above my bay that I suspect is a result of the hot summer.
  13. This site has them. https://www.wheelierubbishsigns.co.uk/index.php?seo_path=recycling-stickers
  14. If the buildings current owners have it insured then you should be able to take over the policy. However having purchased a house over 20 years ago that had "movement", I'd avoid it if you can.
  15. I don't see it as extraordinary as I look after my teeth. My point was that the dentist offers to treat people as NHS patients and then doesn't provide the service that they should and recommends private hygienist treatment. If it hadn't been my first time for while then I would have taken isssue with the dentist and asked why I wasn't receiving the clean from them.
  16. I'd recommend that you email the Bursar, Estates Bursar and cc in the local ward councillors. https://www.alleyns.org.uk/page.aspx?id=33 http://moderngov.southwark.gov.uk/mgMemberIndex.aspx?FN=WARD&VW=TABLE&PIC=1 (Goose Green)
  17. @malumbu - it was more of a question than a statement and as for a profession, I'm workin' class I'll 'ave you know.
  18. I've not been to the dentist for about 5 years so it was with some trepidation that I booked a checkup at a local dentist surgery (that I won't name). I was happily given the all clear but recommended to visit the hygienist to remove the tartar. I went with this and paid the ?21.60 for the Level 1 treatment. I've booked into the hygienist (which will cost another ?40-50, not NHS) but strictly, the dentist should have included a scale and polish in the Level 1 and I shouldn't have to pay any more. One of the reasons I stopped going to the dentist was because a while back another local dentist used to charge me for the Level 2 treatment when all I had was a checkup and scale and polish. When I queried this with the receptionist afterwards they said it was a much more comprehensive de-scaling that was covered by the Level 1 and hence the Level 2 charge. It just feels like they're ripping you off, perhaps because in London they NHS Level 1 charge of ?21.60 doesn't provide enough profit. https://www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/dental-health/how-much-will-i-pay-for-nhs-dental-treatment/

Thanks to another forum member, I've been sent a link to the same car advertised on Gumtree (with mobile number) so no longer an issue.

Hi - I'm trying to contact a new forum user about a car they are selling. I've posted on their thread and sent them two PM's but so far no response - it doesn't look like they've accessed the forum since posting the advert. Is it possible to have their email address so that I could mail them directly - I was wondering if the EDF notifications are going to spam. User is tlawless and this is their post. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?9,1959788,1959788#msg-1959788
  21. Any possible access from the ceiling of the room below (the kitchen ?). A smallish square of plasterboard cut out and then the floorboards removed from below could be another option. Certainly not ideal but less aggro than the hole in the wall I would have thought.
  22. Hmm. No easy answer as far as I can see. I would have thought accessing from the outside is going to be pretty tricky. I assume that this is not ground floor so would require working up a ladder or a platform of some sort and the external wall is likely to be a brick length in depth so breaking through that to make a big enough hole to access the pipework is going to be far from simple. If it was me I'd bite the bullet and have the bath removed and replaced internally though I can see this would cause more upheaval as towel radiator is likely to have to be temporarily removed.
  23. Just alerting people to this as it doesn't seem to have received a lot of coverage. Biggest RAF flypast over London, in recent times, over 100 aircraft. https://secretldn.com/raf100-flypast-london-route-map/ Tuesday @ 1pm
