Yeah froggy I think you're having a sense of humour failure. Get a life.

Maybe I'm having a sense of humour failure but I don't see why a robbery at Coop is funny. Would you poke fun if the same had happened at your favourite independent shop ?

Have a care for the working class people that have lived in ED for years that can't afford 89p for a sliced loaf accompanied by prosecco, fancy cheese and chutney, no matter how good it tastes. At a pinch you can subscribe for one month (about ?4 I think) and download then from the OS site to your phone or tablet so that you don't need a signal when out and about (just plenty of battery). I understand that this is not necessarily recommended - depending on where you're going - and that you should always carry a paper version. Dulwich Library have the Dark Peak one available (just checked their online catalogue) which covers the northern half. They don't have the White Peak southern half. I may have one of these you could borrow - need to check later.

Derwnt Grove - recent resurfacing - car taken
ed_pete replied to I hammer's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Not new http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1461586 I don't know if Conways carried out the resurfacing in Derwent but you try ringing them -
Help with TV - we're leaving SKY and I don't think I understand the options
ed_pete replied to Angelina's topic in The Lounge
We use NOW TV and you should take a look at it. There is no contract so you can buy a months Movies or Entertainment pass with no obligation to carry on once it's expired. You can also buy Sky Sports passes for NOW TV boxes by the day week or month. The box costs ?20 and comes with a free pass for entertainment/films/sport. Picture quality is fine for me but could be better when I occasionally watch football. Bear in mind you need a decent broadband connection and for any box that's only wireless, a decent wireless signal. I think I still have spare NOW TV box if you want to borrow it PM me. -
Louisa - surely describing the shop as a convenience store that people will drive to (and struggle to park near) to is a contradiction.

Toffee - there was a long thread on Saltash - http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1555979,page=1 Suffice to say some were less than impressed.

Probably mistook the car for a Cougar.

You wouldn't want to miss the chance of being the very first customer to cross the threshold.

Before everyone jumps on the Lido bashing bandwagon, has anyone seen an objective account of what actually happened or are we all to make our conclusions based in one eye witness account. And before anyone reports the Lido to anyone do you not think that you should ask them first what they have done in response to the incident ?

People who do this : 4200 ! ;)

Presumably you're think James Barber here, however there are two other Councillors in ED Ward - where is your evidence that Charlie Smith and Rosie Shimell support a CPZ ?

Congratulations on reaching your target. Well done. Jeremy - I think you know as well as I do that it's best just to ignore John K's attempts to infer some kind of corrupt embezzling of public funds until he can present some hard evidence at which point he'd be better off ringing the fraud squad.

No idea but you can get it in Morrisons in Peckham https://groceries.morrisons.com/webshop/product/Chateauneuf-Du-Pape/282630011 (and it's Chateauneuf Du Pape)

Sounds like a an opportunity for Deliveroo - why waste 20 minutes searching for a non-existent parking slot when you can have it delivered ?

East Dulwich - Development Location
ed_pete replied to rubanselva's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I have a feeling that this development was featured on Homes Under the Hammer once upon a time. http://vanquishid.com/forest-hill-moonlight-drive/ -
Been going there a couple of years - Dean and Jen are lovely people. Highly recommended, especially the (Kevin) Bacon sandwiches.
