You've only had one bad experience and you contacted Collect+ to complain after two other forum posts which you have taken on face value. You're then encouraging others to complain too. Unreasonable in my view by hey you go ahead if you want. And yes I do think the size and weight of your parcel has influenced your reaction.

This is beginning to feel like a witch hunt. I've used V7 about half a dozen times for collect plus and never had an issue. One wonders if Sue's parcel had been much smaller, and hadn't had to be "lugged" there and back, whether the reaction would be the same. Sure it's irritating and shouldn't be how it operates, but is it really necessary to vilify a local business based on one experience ?

Castle, every time. Perfect for you Bob.

Shouldn't you shoot it first Bob.

Alex - last year when Southwark were consulting on the Bellenden one-way one of the Lane councillors did post on the thread - user is Jali1, you could try to get in contact with her. This is what she said at that time: A couple of points on the Bellenden Road Consultation Hi everyone, I am a Lane Ward Councillor living on Chadwick Road in the middle of the Bellenden Road area. I have been actively working with residents and the council to find a way forward. As a mum of two young children I would like more road safety measures to be put in. I am hopeful that the consultation, the council and Dutch - Mobycon consultants will come up with a sensible solution that will help pedestrians, cyclists, drivers and public transport to co exist in a way that works better than it does now and helps all of us to stay safe. I attended the meeting last night and took down many questions and notes, all of which I have fed back to the cabinet member, fellow councillors and officers at the council. I can confirm that they ate all committed to finding the best way forward for all of us. I understand Mobycon are producing a report of their consultations and ideas to date. As soon as this has been produced the council will come back with the next steps. I remain positive that we can all work together to make the Bellenden Road area better and safer for all residents. If you have any further issues that you would like me to flag with my fellow councillors, the cabinet member and the council officers, then please do email me on [email protected] and put Bellenden Road in the title. With thanks and best wishes, Jasmine Cllr Ali

Not that I'm in favour but most of the lost parking spaces are down to the councils blanket approach to putting in yellow lines at all junctions. What's really galling is that the 16 proposed yellow lines on the roads that junction with Crystal Palace Road were excluded from the scheme that's going ahead because they were considered "Future project, e.g. Quietway" - well that Future Project is now here.

I received the following email today and thought I'd share it with the Forum. It relates to the Councils proposals for the "Southwark Spine" cycling route from Peckham High Street to Lordship Lane (near the Library). The document that details the proposed road changes is too large to attach but if you follow the link it's at the bottom of the page under related documents. Closing date to reply to consultation 4th December (As an aside - I've still to hear the outcome of the previous consultation about Bellenden http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1616398,page=1) Dear Stakeholder We have launched a consultation on proposed changes Southwark Spine walking and cycling route between East Dulwich and Peckham. The route is not just for experienced cyclists but for anyone who wants to use quieter, lower-traffic routes, providing an environment for those cyclists who want to ride at a more leisurely speed. Details of the consultation can be found here: https://consultations.southwark.gov.uk/environment-leisure/eastdulwichtopeckham/ The consultation closes on Monday 4 December 2017. We are also holding a drop-in session on Thursday 16 November, 6:30pm to 8:30pm, at All Saints Peckham Church, Blenheim Grove, London SE15 4QS. If you have any further questions regarding the consultation please email us at [email protected] Please feel free to forward this email to other interested parties. We look forward to receiving your views. Regards Albert Ang | Consultant Project Manager

Bad accident north Dulwich junction
ed_pete replied to sanity girl's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Another one there tonight. Two fire engines in attendance and tailback on East Dulwich Grove back to Melbourne Grove. I don't know the circumstances and wish all involved well but I can't help but wonder if this is linked to the roadworks in the Village and drivers who've been held up there rushing on, once through the temporary lights. -
Proposed 10km new double yellow lines across Dulwich

Oh please can we not stick to the original topic of this thread ? -
Those online logins that ask you to (for example) "Select all the images with a store front"... Grr.

former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
ed_pete replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
James - any update on the medical centre that's replacing the hospital. All the building work seems to be for the new school and the medical centre site seems untouched. At this rate the hospital won't be evacuated for another 3-4 years. -
Proposed 10km new double yellow lines across Dulwich

Does anyone know if this is still planned to go ahead and if so when it is likely to be implemented ? -
I see. Can you quote some examples of actual shops that are run by people like that or is it just your opinion ?

Shawbury rd - Grand Designs tonight

I think some VAT can be reclaimed if you are converting a building that was previously non-residential to residential use. I think this is one of the reasons barn conversion are popular as the developer is able to reclaim some of the VAT. -

If there are between 3 and 9 of them then they could be entitled to a third off with Group Save without any railcards. Check this out. http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/pr354fdc0a0400020101fea1769fbf60.aspx

It's possible that more people are recorded as living there in 1939 but there entries are not made public until either 100 years have passed or they are confirmed as no longer alive. If you know that they are no longer living then I think you can apply to have the record opened. http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/help-with-your-research/research-guides/1939-register/#7-what-does-it-mean-when-an-entry-is-crossed-out-and-marked-see-page
