  1. "Invaluable" to you maybe but personally I could give ####.
  2. Come on Louisa - everyone should be able to spoil themselves once in a while and if they feel like spending ?7.50 of their hard earned cash on a hotdog then they should be able to do so. I mean everyone should be able to spend on premium products once in a while, you know like popping into Space NK....
  3. I don't know this for sure as I'm not well travelled but do Asia street food sellers have to comply with the Health and Safety and have Food Hygiene training ?

Besides the UK is very different to Vietnam and Malaysia so it's no wonder that it's more expensive.
  5. Channel 4 News (@Channel4News) tweeted at 0:00 pm on Thu, Mar 09, 2017: Peckham?s black hair salons are known far and wide ? but they?re worried gentrification is moving them out of their home. https://t.co/Q5o5dooo7g ( )
  6. I my case it's optional, not mandatory.
  7. Re: privacy - the meter has the ability to send readings to your supplier every 30 minutes and some people have said that this represents an intrusion but personally I'm not bothered. Re: changing suppliers. I'm with First Utility and the letter I received did have some small print about the "advantages" not necessarily being able to be transferred were I to switch to a new supplier which seems completely crazy. The meters should be universal, surely.
  8. I've been offered free installation of a Smart Meter for my gas and electricity. Apart from privacy issues, which I'm not bothered about, are there any other downsides to having a smart meter fitted ?
  9. Fred - you can just enter "N/A" in the Reg Box on-screen form - I don't imagine it'll matter so long as you have checked the "rented van" box.
  10. The problem with this kind of thread is that the opinions sought are subjective and eventually everywhere in the locality that sells a coffee will get a mention.
  11. Sounds as though on your old laptop the Vista allocated the drive letter F to the external drive. When you've copied the stuff back from the external drive to your new laptop its created folder called "F" (on your C: drive) and put the files in there. Should be perfectly safe to simply move the F folder to the "documents" folder and simply carry on.
  12. Cella - I think that you're best going to a mobile shop for help - can you go to your a shop run by your network provider ? They usually have a device that easily enables data to be transferred from one sim to another. Failing that you could try the shop near ED station that does mobile repairs - he may be able to help you.
  13. Cracking game great result as Braintree looked a strong team. A crazy own goal by Braintree for the Hamlets second where the goal-kick rebounded in a loop off a central defenders head back into there own net. Fantastic 4th goal from outside the box into the top corner. Bring on Macclesfield on 25th Feb.
  14. Sue - my experience of Elm Lodge wasn't as good as yours. Phoned this morning for an appointment any day next week only be told there are no appointments left and I would have to ring on the day and take my chances.

Impressive.
  16. You used to be able to hire a carpet cleaner from Plough Homecraft near Dulwich library.
  17. Read the petition - it's not calling for him not to come but just not as a State visit - could still see Nige and Theresa and have a round of golf.
  18. It's compelling, frustrating, humbling, uplifting and heartbreaking. I recommended it to everyone. Everyone. Especially those in power. Catchup on iPlayer.
  19. Surveys. Fooking surveys. You can't do fook all these days with being asked "How was it for you ?"
  20. East Dulwich Grove closed at the moment and TfL saying 37 and 42 on diversion due to traffic collision.
  21. Couldn't agree more Mike - Bellenden from Ganapati northwards looks too narrow for a cycle contraflow now that the pavements have been added on the right. I wouldn't be surprised if the build out on that Ganapati corner is changed again as a result of this scheme. Also don't fancy merging from the left hand cycle lane to turn right into Holly Grove. I'd also like to know who the quoted "support" is that preferred option 2 and how representative they were of the motorists, cyclists and pedestrians that travel through the area. Overall, in my opinion, an utter waste of resources.
  22. Looks like Southwark are going for Option 2 "Due to the greater support for the concept 2 design, it is proposed that it will proceed to the next stage as the preferred solution." bellenden_gyratory bellenden_gyratory_option_2
  23. Just been on the phone to them - in spite of the website saying that the Broadband status is OK in SE22 they have told me that there is an issue (well duh !) and it will be fixed by 24th January. As we all know that Virgin's promises are as useless as a eunuch in a brothel, we'll have to wait and see.
  24. Yup, unusable connection here too. Ok up to yesterday evening then very patchy. Telephone support people are incompetent. Currently waiting for network people to call me.
