  3. Couple of pic's of very similar looking, but silver, Porringers in this page. http://www.collectorsweekly.com/articles/the-huguenot-silversmiths-18th-century-refugees/ Could well be that the initials are not the makers but that of the owner.
  4. If your toilet in the new bathroom/old bedroom is positioned against the same exterior wall as it is at the moment then surely its just a case of running a soil pipe externally across to the vertical soil pipe ?
  5. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?9,1729929 How much ? HOW MUCH ?

    Ice cubes

Perhaps you should check out the range of ice cubes in Iceland. http://groceries.iceland.co.uk/iceland-pure-ice-premium-ice-cubes-2kg/p/44701
  9. Sue - Sorry I can't be of any practical help but I've used quite a few different laptops over the last few years and none have been exactly the same in terms of screen size. To be honest I've never had an issue with applications and screen size or resolution but that doesn't mean that you won't. It can be quite difficult adapting to a new laptop when you've used the old one for as long as you have (nothing wrong with that) - they all have their foibles that you like or dislike and get used to. Buying a new laptop is a tricky task - the choice is vast but as you say far fewer models are on display in places like PC World or John Lewis. I would say that you should trust that your research is correct and go forward with the new one. I'm sure after a week or two you'll be just fine.

  11. Call your insurance company. They will appoint a loss adjuster to survey the crack. More than likely they will then commission a structural engineers report that will examine the issue and recommend remedial action. You normally have a choice of using the insurance companies structural engineer or you can choose your own and the insurance company cover the costs. You could also call Goddens Structural for advice. http://goddenstructural.com/
  12. ...and the other two timber houses off Landells Road. Kevin loves this area, think he used to live here.
  13. Join me and boycott M&S until they start putting their lorries where they're supposed to.

  16. Yeah froggy I think you're having a sense of humour failure. Get a life.
  17. Maybe I'm having a sense of humour failure but I don't see why a robbery at Coop is funny. Would you poke fun if the same had happened at your favourite independent shop ?
  18. Have a care for the working class people that have lived in ED for years that can't afford 89p for a sliced loaf accompanied by prosecco, fancy cheese and chutney, no matter how good it tastes. 19. At a pinch you can subscribe for one month (about ?4 I think) and download then from the OS site to your phone or tablet so that you don't need a signal when out and about (just plenty of battery). I understand that this is not necessarily recommended - depending on where you're going - and that you should always carry a paper version. Dulwich Library have the Dark Peak one available (just checked their online catalogue) which covers the northern half. They don't have the White Peak southern half. I may have one of these you could borrow - need to check later.
  20. Not new http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1461586 I don't know if Conways carried out the resurfacing in Derwent but you try ringing them
  21. We use NOW TV and you should take a look at it. There is no contract so you can buy a months Movies or Entertainment pass with no obligation to carry on once it's expired. You can also buy Sky Sports passes for NOW TV boxes by the day week or month. The box costs ?20 and comes with a free pass for entertainment/films/sport. Picture quality is fine for me but could be better when I occasionally watch football. Bear in mind you need a decent broadband connection and for any box that's only wireless, a decent wireless signal. I think I still have spare NOW TV box if you want to borrow it PM me.
  22. Louisa - surely describing the shop as a convenience store that people will drive to (and struggle to park near) to is a contradiction.
  23. Toffee - there was a long thread on Saltash - http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1555979,page=1 Suffice to say some were less than impressed.
