Sounds as though on your old laptop the Vista allocated the drive letter F to the external drive. When you've copied the stuff back from the external drive to your new laptop its created folder called "F" (on your C: drive) and put the files in there. Should be perfectly safe to simply move the F folder to the "documents" folder and simply carry on.

Cella - I think that you're best going to a mobile shop for help - can you go to your a shop run by your network provider ? They usually have a device that easily enables data to be transferred from one sim to another. Failing that you could try the shop near ED station that does mobile repairs - he may be able to help you.

Cracking game great result as Braintree looked a strong team. A crazy own goal by Braintree for the Hamlets second where the goal-kick rebounded in a loop off a central defenders head back into there own net. Fantastic 4th goal from outside the box into the top corner. Bring on Macclesfield on 25th Feb.

Sue - my experience of Elm Lodge wasn't as good as yours. Phoned this morning for an appointment any day next week only be told there are no appointments left and I would have to ring on the day and take my chances.

The apolitical thread. Discuss anything but - Please.

You used to be able to hire a carpet cleaner from Plough Homecraft near Dulwich library. -
It's compelling, frustrating, humbling, uplifting and heartbreaking. I recommended it to everyone. Everyone. Especially those in power. Catchup on iPlayer.

Surveys. Fooking surveys. You can't do fook all these days with being asked "How was it for you ?"

East Dulwich Grove closed at the moment and TfL saying 37 and 42 on diversion due to traffic collision.

Couldn't agree more Mike - Bellenden from Ganapati northwards looks too narrow for a cycle contraflow now that the pavements have been added on the right. I wouldn't be surprised if the build out on that Ganapati corner is changed again as a result of this scheme. Also don't fancy merging from the left hand cycle lane to turn right into Holly Grove. I'd also like to know who the quoted "support" is that preferred option 2 and how representative they were of the motorists, cyclists and pedestrians that travel through the area. Overall, in my opinion, an utter waste of resources.

Just been on the phone to them - in spite of the website saying that the Broadband status is OK in SE22 they have told me that there is an issue (well duh !) and it will be fixed by 24th January. As we all know that Virgin's promises are as useless as a eunuch in a brothel, we'll have to wait and see.

Sue - I think you need to back down here - sounds to me that she's been through a traumatic event and should be cut some slack. End of.

Pooping dog on camera - do you know it or owner?
ed_pete replied to woodstock's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Mildly interestingly, to me at least, if your CCTV covers people on the street then you could be in breach of the Data Protection Act. Maybe doesn't apply to dogs though. https://ico.org.uk/for-the-public/cctv If your camera covers, even partially, any areas beyond the boundaries of your property, such as neighbouring gardens or the street, then it will no longer be exempt from the Data Protection Act (DPA) under the domestic purposes exemption. This does not mean that you are breaching the DPA but it does mean that you might need to take some steps to comply with it. -
Help. Nightmare neighbours. How do we deal with conflict?

MM you might be miffed but would it result in you "Now we are receiving twice-weekly visits from a spluttering, angry, swearing neighbours. " -

That sound's dreadful. All I can suggest is that you bring it up with your local councillors. Maybe start by posting on the James Barber thread.

mikeb Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > DiD - I'm a cyclist and I disagree: the one-way > system is easy - 11 years commuting through it and > I've never felt threatened. Same here any tinkering with this junction is a waste of money as far as I can see from a cycling perspective and just likely to aggravate the driving community even further. Cycle journeys don't start and end with this one-way system. If Southwark wants more people to take to their bikes then I would suggest more training and more initiatives like the bike train. It's about building road awareness and confidence.

The agent's description is below - the photo is of the building which contains Mrs Robinsons and several flats. Price is ?1.85M I thought more often than not commercial properties are sold with tenants in place so no reason to assume Mrs Robinson is closing. Property Description A rare opportunity to acquire a substantial, unbroken mixed-use freehold located in a prominent position on Lordship Lane. The property comprises a ground floor retail unit measuring c.1,600 sqft which is currently let on an agreement which is holding over to popular retailer ?Mrs Robinsons?, 2 x 3 bedroom flats and 1 x 4 bedroom flat all currently let on AST?s. The three bedroom flats are side-access on Blackwater Street whilst the 4 bedroom flat is rear access through a private courtyard also on Blackwater Street.

Consultation closes on 22/12. Don't sleepwalk into this one. Register your objections to your Councilors and on the Southwark website. -

AM finally sells his History of Irish Tennis (in three volumes) or perhaps that's a little optimistic.
