The ED Picturehouse also accepts Meerkat Movies 2 for 1. And for less than the cost of a skinny latte you can get Meerkat Movies annual membership. http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/deals-hunter/2015/04/15/meerkat-movies-trick-2ish-gets-2for1-films-for-a-year/ -
On-line only. I think Loot and Exchange and Mart are both on-line and hard-copy.

@AQM - There is no contract so you can dip into Sky Sports whenever you want with a 24 hour pass for ?6.99 or a weeks pass for ?10.99. Depending on what matches Sky have, the 24 hour pass gets you the early and late kick offs on Saturday or the late Saturday and early kickoff on Sunday. The box is a re-badged Roku box, its not 1080 HD only 780 and it relies on a good wifi signal and decent BB connection as the programs are streamed over the internet.

I've been using eBay for years and never have been asked for proof of ID though I guess it might depend in the item. It could also be that as a newbie you have no feedback - and so the seller wants to see some ID as some form of surety. As the buyer you can ask ebay to send you the sellers contact details and use these to speak to them direct. This might be your best approach. http://ocsnext.ebay.co.uk/ocs/sc There is a also an active discussion board on ebay whether others might be able to help http://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Discussion-Boards/ct-p/13

I have a NOW TV box for about a year. Originally used it for both the Entertainment and Films but dropped the films after Christmas as most were rubbish IMO. I've bought the occasional day pass for Sport which if you're into football is pretty good value as you get to watch a couple of PL matches for ?8. The Entertainment pass gives you access to all the usual Sky channels except Movies. It's been pretty good value I think. I was able watch the last of the Mad Men series, been keeping up with Game of Thrones, am part way into The Affair, watched Fortitude etc. For ?20 for the box and 3 months of the Entertainment pass it's a good deal. If after then you decide it's not for you then their is nothing else to pay. You can always rejoin at a later date. If you decide to go ahead PM me as if I refer someone and they sign up we both get a ?10 gift voucher.

I have to admit I find it kind of ironic that the very virtual medium used to discuss and in some case mourn the changing face and pace of change in relation to physical the East Dulwich is now subject to the very same.

Thanks for all the advice everyone.

My daughter is travelling to the US this summer for around 3 months and I wondered if anyone had any advice on what the best option is for using her phone abroad. She's on Tesco Mobile and their overseas rates are punitive so she needs to get another SIM I think. Any advice on what the best option is ? I've seen a couple of recommendations on the MSE site but wondered if anyone had any direct useful experience that they could pass on.

Has anyone read Tessa's "Homes for Londoners" speech ? It talks a lot about the need for new homes but doesn't explain how they will be funded. Anyone able to enlighten me ? http://www.tessa.london/homes-for-londoners However there is a bit in there for Louisa. We need new homes with mixed communities at their heart that harness London?s diversity. Let?s make sure that new homes unite communities rather than dividing them.

".. dynamic, vibrant place..", "..small village like communities..." - sounds like it could have been written by an Peckham estate agent.

Same here - switched off the router for 1 minute after the power had resumed. Switched it on again and all good.

I also thought that use of the word penthouse in this threadt was deliberate and intended to be emotive however if you look at the third floor plan, the text does say "New Penthouse extension set back to meet Southwarks D+A requirements dimensions to be confirmed." -

Interested in cycle to work in the City?

I've been commuting for years and I fold my shirts in a similar way to this (though fasten every other button) http://www.realsimple.com/beauty-fashion/clothing-care/fold-dress-shirt I then put the folded shirt in a thickish carrier bag and pop this in my pannier. I'm sure Ortlieb are great but I've been using cheap ones from Decathlon for ages. It does seem a faff at first but the freedom not to be bound to train departure times and the currently awful platform 15 at London Bridge will make it all worth while. It also depends on what facilities you have at work to store stuff and what showering facilities there are. -
I've a Humax and it doesn't sound familiar. There's an active owners forum that might be able to help you. http://hummy.tv/forum/

It'll be a sad day when Food For Thought closes. I've been going on and off for 30 years and the food has never, ever let me down. I'd even go as far to says it's a London culinary icon. I shall definitely be popping in once or twice before they finally close the doors. http://www.theguardian.com/business/2015/mar/28/food-for-thought-londons-iconic-vegetarian-restaurant-set-for-closure
