  1. According to my Google moon phase thing it's full right now. Spaceweather says that bits of the debris from the satellite collision are starting to enter the atmosphere so maybe that's what you saw.

wondering that myself Jah, must have missed something.
  3. no, totally against my grain. I don't know what the answer is. Any administration after 10 years is going to be tired and lackadaisical but as Huge put it more eloquently than I could, the last 10 years has seen a lot of positive change. I agree with Sean that the Tories will get in at the next election (oh the short memories) so will probably also vote for, say, the Greens.

It didn't change colour - the pupil is paralyzed and permanently enlarged. 7. nobody's mentioned it for nearly a week, why bring it up again?
  8. does do scholarships and bursaries does allow the community use of the pool via swimming clubs is part of the dulwich college foundation school group and therefore owns much of the land locally
  9. Mmmmm, Ian Duncan Smith - wasn't he the one that got caught paying his wife a salary out of public funds........
  10. My computer was doing same thing snorky, after a few months of this behaviour it completely died. Couldn't economically be fixed as it was the 'motherboard' (isn't it always) so had to buy a new one. Beware imminent meltdown.
  11. don't get defensive, Ted Max and I were pointing out it was a wind-up in a light-hearted fashion rather than a nasty fashion.
  12. :p as KK would put it
  13. he's already admitted it is candj - wakey wakey.

Bowie's eyes are the same colour. One pupil is permanently enlarged. The shot with the different coloured eyes is a touch-up.
  15. If you're serious mick then why not choose the child on its individual merits rather than its gender, i.e. send the brightest one to public school and let the thickies rot in a state school with all the rest of the thickie plebs.

    David Bowie...

He was my idol in the early eighties. I had every album (including a gatefold sleeve of Diamond Dogs which I sold for about a quid a few years later aaaargh!). My bedroom wall was papered with pictures of him and I used to spend hours transcripting the lyrics. Saw him in concert twice and was convinced he'd looked at me *swoon*. Actually camped out all night so we could be first in to the stadium to get to the front ha! After Let's Dance I kind of lost my obsession with him and to be honest know absolutely nothing of what he's produced in the years since then. I still play and love anything from Hunky Dory - Let's Dance. When you watch old clips of him performing live, say on TOTP he can sing the pants of any of the young pretenders. A real performer. He was someone who had the knack (like Madonna) of choosing to work with talented, edgy people of the time.
  17. Waitrose have been losing market share steadily over the last few months and are bringing out a 'value range' next week in an attempt to regain some ground. Seems unlikely they will be splashing out on new stores (unfortunately).
  18. you can try snorky, looks like you won't be alone. original 40 people sick has increased to 400 since the media coverage. Funny that - bit like Sachsgate.
  19. blimey, not one for the veggies. the most exotic thing I can come up with, not eating things that once breathed, is gold leaf.
  20. probably more than offset by the reduction in vehicle insurance. I'd like a garage to store the untold junk, never mind the car. Are they easy to get?
  21. I can't see Charter staging something like this, mainly because the budget wouldn't stretch to several thousand pounds worth of fireworks - banging kind or not. I don't think the general voice of dissent is against the fireworks per se, just that they were on a Sunday, late, and with no warning to the residents in the immediate vicinity, good manners and consideration not coming into it. It doens't need to turn into an argument about class etc and a personal slanging match between the haves and the have nots. DV1 and Townley Green seem defensive, obviously as they have a vested interest, those of us that feel any negative thoughts about it are instantly branded as moaning sour grapers. I expect a devil's advocate would find it a fairly easy job.
