  1. Totally agree. The newbie I spoke to and met on reception was so nice, kind, helpful, thoughtful, it was a pleasure to deal with her. Thought I wasn't at FHRGP, but somewhere else. However "some" of the old guard are still holding out, being as difficult, belligerent and unhelpful as ever as the "gate keepers", its a shame they can't appreciate that we are patients who are responding to their initial contact made out of the blue by the surgery. i.e. being told they "wanted" me to have a blood test without a coherent explanation as to why. Wouldn't mind if it had been as a result of a consultation, but when it comes out of the blue and the receptionist fails to introduce herself properly, I become somewhat suspicious. The pre-booked blood test appointment system at the Tessa Jowell Centre has bedded in and runs well on the last tow attendances, well done to them. Virtually no queues, lovely staff so all good.
  2. Do Sainsbury accept iou's?????????????????? https://twitter.com/search?q=Sainsbury&src=trend_click&vertical=trends 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  3. you can't change the spots on a leopard, insert mccash as you see fit..............................................
  4. They are two cheeks of the same backside, only looking out for themselves as they are mostly career politicians, party second, country third, honestly the whole lot and system stink. And after what Boris did whilst in office he should be kept as far away as possible from al political involvement,i) as he's no longer an MP and ii) as damage limitation.
  5. Agreed, certainly don't want to see Trump elected, can then almost guarantee WW3, worst possible case scenario. Starmer may be a "decent man", doesn't stop the left immediately if not already now plotting how they WILL unseat him. And yes, based on the number of conservative MP's who have already stated they are stepping down, the conservatives I expect will be annihilated at the GE, but as the saying goes, careful what you wish for.
  6. That's not abuse, by a wide mile. My opinion of what I've seen written about his political antics, which personally I find distasteful.
  7. Who gives a stuff about the US and politics there, focus should be on the UK first, rest of World second.
  8. Who cares. Tories are getting annihilated at the next GM and will be out of office for years and years, Labour may get into office but Rayner will unseat Starmer, bring in Abbott with her and it will go far left. Chances of a coalition is unlikely but possible. Galloway will cause severe disruption so it will be a very bumpy ride. Hold tight, its going to be rough.............................
  9. Needs keeping on a tight leash from what I've read on here about his antics, <removed>
  10. making me laugh almost falling off my chair in hysterics
  11. Thought things had improved having spoken and had a really good interaction with one of the receptionists, but then after yesterday back to being diabolical and managed to undo all the good work previously done. Reception couldn't even coherently explain the reason for the telephone call, were demanding, wanting, telling, rude, didn't listen, goes around in circles, repeats the same thing like a parrot, reads a message off a script from the GP, can't answer simple questions or think for themselves, put on hold without explanation, won't get the GP to phone back so questions can be asked about their message that was in medical speak which had been left for me, still an utter and total shambles.
  12. Lewisham has just elected a new Mayor, not that one is actually needed, another level of costly and wasteful administration, after the previous incumbent resigned to climb the political ladder in Westminster, that's cost or rather wasted £635K of council tax payers money. What we need is a London wide referendum to remove the role of London Mayor and all those five who have appointed a Mayor.
  13. Some have no grasp of reality and live in a utopian bubble that sounds good in theory but is just not practical or feasible .
  14. ~~I'm not posting what was painted across the frontage, Admin would rightly ban me. Look at what you think the link was, the clue is in the words when put in the right order

  16. He's a spent force never to return, the current governing party will get well and truly laundered at the next election when ever that happens, Keep May in the diary. And they won't get back into power for a very, very long time based on the performance over the last 8 years. Thought we may have a coalition but that is unlikely. The only thing that will happen is that Galloway will disrupt the election, targeting Rayner and Starmer and every labour seat with a low majority. He hates Starmer more than Sunak, so it'll be fireworks. Don't agree with any of what Galloway stands for but he is an orator of excellence who can make mincemeat in a debate with the current political leaders. The scary thing is after Rayner and Starmer and Sunak in their respective parties who's next to lead, because as soon as Sunak loses their will be another leadership bun fight, ditto in the labour party. So what we have is an exciting time come the next GE. The only one to suffer will be the country and the population. Putin is on the war path, if Trump is elected the world will be in an even graver situation and then theirs China and Xi to think about, not forgetting North Korea and their leader. I dread the day when those four powers join forces against the rest of the world, a blood bath in the making.
  17. yes the slogan gave an explicit clue to what this was all about, there were two days of action against the bank nationally, with an extensive list of targeted branches funding+stop++Barclays+genocide
  18. The external frontage and side of the bank was a total mess. Hopefully all caught on CCTV.
  19. Went past earlier today, not sure when it happened but all the glass panels have been smashed by what looks like a hammer and huge slogan across the front spray painted.
  20. IMO the 363's are badly designed, short on seats and are uncomfortable
  21. "The price of stamps will rise again on 2 April - the fourth increase in two years for the cost of sending a letter first class. Royal Mail said the price of a first-class stamp would rise by 10p to £1.35 and second-class stamps would increase by 10p to 85p"
  22. Another to consider is if when you purchased them, the chicken was kept in a sealed plastic bag as that will definitely contribute to them going of. I always wrap meat lightly in greaseproof paper and store it at the bottom of the fridge. Just an idea. Hope you are feeling better.
  23. Totally shocked to learn of the death of Dave Myers, only 66,
