  1. When you stand facing the store the first aisle on the left hand side behind all the Halloween junk they sell, exactly as you have described facing the clothes and Habitat stuff.
  2. Can you evidence this? Was in today and everything has pretty much been moved around. What is entertaining to see was that all the "convenience" meals (don't buy these) have been moved to smaller fridge units on the far right of the store, perhaps they want customers to explore the Home section and make more use of Argos in store. Service there today was quick however the item was just pushed onto the counter and the staff member walked off without acknowledging the receipt or stamping it. In terms of self scan, it seems this is the way forward with the big four supermarkets plus Lidl, haven't been to an Aldi store for yonks so can't comment. Maybe it's cheaper for them, but what it is, is far less customer centred.
  3. Actually, it is the You and Yours programme from 16/10/23 Check prices between supermarkets and see who is offering the lowest price and if the loyalty card helps you get that, them all well and good. But it is on branded items not supermarket own brands, however you gain points (minimal that equate to money)
  4. Get a card and get your discount. well worth doing.
  5. Been using Krystals for 13+ years, as Day Lewis on Forest Hill Road are utterly hopeless and Fosters had in the past always had to order items.
  6. Did the same thing to the Forest Hill branch recently. It's a dastardly marketing ploy to get customers to search around for items and walk past areas they may not usually use.
  7. Ofgem, Ofwat, Ofcom
  8. Thought that was for the ludicrous increase in the daily standing charge to pay for all those providers who went bust, and now they want to introduce an Annual Charge. They're having a laugh at the consumer who they are supposed to work in the interests of. Honestly, Ofgem needs to be removed as they are nothing but a liability to the consumer.
  9. Well if they didn't show then as has been pointed out earlier I guess they mean the library at the Plough.
  10. So what is the purpose of car tax which driver s have to pay to drive and PARK on roads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. The complainants need to report it to the police to investigate and the various stages of the criminal justice system will then follow. Having watched the Russell Brand Channel 4 documentary, I'd say it wasn't looking good for him, the cases were pretty compelling, but it's the statements to the police that will count and any investigation which follows with the evidence they have or do not have.
  13. I believe it is ILLEGAL to kill bats, they are a protected species. "In Britain all bat species and their roosts are legally protected, by both domestic and international legislation."
  14. Nope, It's a poorly run and managed practice that takes money from public funds (the NHS) and does not meet patient needs or expectations, and to boot IMO are dishonest in word and deed, AVOID at all costs.
  15. I found the manager at The Gardens Dental Surgery to have been less than honest in what she stated in writing.
  16. Don't go anywhere near the Gardens dental practice,, unpleasant and dishonest was my experience there.
  17. As you say, it has happened, a real example is Rye Lane which at one time was a real shopping hub, four deep on the pavements. Change is gonna happen. People would rather have food deliveries to there door or order via Amazon than using the high street, you use it or lose it. And we've lost it..................................

  22. How about all the pollution comes from the 100o's of planes in the sky. It doesn't stay in the atmosphere, it comes down to earth, so why not charge airlines and plane manufacturers for all the pollution they cause????????????
  23. Very sad to hear that was the cause, as intexasatthe moment said, condolences and sympathies.
