A bit of kindness hey folks, someone had a bag of cat litter stolen, its not the cost of the item surely, rather that someone has has the gaul to nick it.

ADMIN, Please can this be moved to The Lounge where they can bicker and argue to their hearts content rather than have another slagging match right here and now.

Never had a problem with the discount being applied with a "club" loyalty card, so Tesco and Sainsburys have been fine, however in Morrisons a reduced price advertised on the item, took a photo just in case, at checkout charged full price even though photo shown as evidence. Some dodgy practices being undertaken.

New Shops in Dulwich / Peckham - 2024 Edition
jazzer replied to Joe's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Did you mean Mons, not "Moron's" -
One in camberwell is small, my favourite is the one up the Old Kent Road near Ilderton Road, big and spacious

Or return it to a restaurant pub or even better would be a Superb site and Location for our very own, yes, you guessed it, smack in between Forest Hill and East Dulwich and North Dulwich and West Dulwich and Herne Hill and Tulse Hill, yes our very , very own, no not a diy store but you guessed it, I'm sure you all want a brand spanking shinny new Lidl. I know the idea may upset a minority but the just consider all the benefits it will bring and the majority would be ecstatic to have a low budget supermarket in our locality.

More interestingly how did the security staff react/do, staff would have also been concerned for their safety with individuals riding through the aisles, BUT on a more serious point, I really can't see how they'd have got through the recently installed "fence" and gate once just through the glass entrance doors, unchallenged by security who stand close by at their podium. Riddle me that one. This has got to be a friday wind up.............................................

It's about time that restrictions are applied for those who desire a roof "shed" extension. I have to say, some of them are down right ugly and out of character. If people/families require a larger property go and see what is on the market and put in an offer. The explosion of roof sheds needs curbing both in Southwark and Lewisham. Stand at the top of Langton Rise (SE23) side, look up skywards and see the array of ugly roof extensions houses have had added.

Quincy Jones Born March 14, 1933, Chicago, Illinois, U.S. Died November 3, 2024 (aged 91), Los Angeles, California, U.S. Simply a musical legend of his time who's contribution to RnB, Soul and jazz music should never be under estimated. Record producer, songwriter, composer, arranger, and film and television producer. He worked with many of the soul and jazz legends himself, and he has a back catalogue of material I urge you to listen to and enjoy. He will be sadly missed.

Its a Mayoral issue as he is responsible for the Police in London while Mark Rollie runs the Met and answers to the Mayor through the London Assembly as far as I am aware, please correct me if I am mistaken

Trick-or-Treat Friendly Streets in East Dulwich 🎃
jazzer replied to TWB Cat Sitter's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
The whole trick or treat thing is bizarre, another imported & unwanted tradition, the only winners are the shops who sell the costumes and sweets. -
Rename it the Halloween monster statue!

Nope, the vaccine has been withdrawn by AZ

Expressed an opinion and you're all over me like a rash. seems once again anyone who disagrees with you gets negated. Today, when questioned by Beth Rigby about the budget, Starmer had the silliest grin, almost smirking, knowing just exactly how people would suffer in the budget from this coming Wednesday. If you've got any savings expect to be taxed even more. The Starmageden budget will "hurt" lots of people, no one will be smiling on Wednesday afternoon, apart from Starmer, Reeves and Rayner.

There are more effective and efficient ways of reporting i.e. online rather than dragging them away from doing what they get paid to do, catching criminals, as in all the car thefts which have been rampaging across SE22 and into SE23, turning up to break ins, stopping anti social behaviour, drug activity etc.
-
They need to be out "Policing" stopping and solving criminal activity, not drinking tea.
-
is that with or without anal warts?????????
-
This level of criminality is not only happening with that part of Southwark, it stretches across borough boundaries into Lewisham the other side of Langton Rise and the surrounding area. The lack of a police presence and activity, has resulted in this criminality spreading to areas that previously had low levels of crime. Now multiple car thefts, drug dealing and other activity etc. Unless and until the police react the levels of criminality will increase and become more blatant.
