  1. Who was the last player with a tache to play for England? Jack Russell perhaps?
  2. When is a suit not a suit? When he turns into a pub. I'll join you Keef.
  3. We need more fat batsmen. It?s basic physics, there is more of them obstructing the wicket. No one has ever been dismissed belly-before-wicket now have they? Fat batsmen with more facial hair is what the game needs.

HUMAN BEING IN INABILITY TO RECOGNISE THE BLATANT CONTRADICTORY NATURE OF THEIR OWN ARGUMENT - SHOCKER! Edit: For our good and the good of all his church.
  5. Rob Key! I like him coz he's fat.
  6. Well Harmison will either bowl shit or bowl like a demon possessed and get 10 wickets. Broad will just bowl shit. So I suppose he?s at least consistent.
  7. You?re right though Keef, the top order need to do their job proper like this game. England are coming out to bat first.
  8. Apparently broad is in because he can bat too. Although to be honest Harmison also has the ability to survive 40 something deliveries for a handful of runs (as this was the most significant contribution broad made last time) in a desperate attempt to force a draw when the real batters all failed miserably. Edit: In accordance with the prophecy.
  9. And this is who they are playing: Strauss, Cook, Bopara, Pietersen, Collingwood, Prior, Flintoff, Broad, Swann, Anderson, Onions So Broad stays. I bet the Autralian batsmen are happy about that.
  10. Meh, I don't come from Joburg anyway. There are 2 types of people from Joburg, rich English people and the criminals who steal their BMWs.
  11. Indeed. Enjoy MM. Let?s hope we have a match, unmolested by the elements over the next 5 days. As for the team this is who I would field. Because from the position of my swivel chair in Westminster I obviously have far more insight than the England selectors do on the ground. If Flintoff is fit: Strauss, Cook, Bell, Pietersen, Collingwood, Prior, Flintoff, Swann, Anderson, Onions, Harmison. If he isn?t: Strauss, Cook, Bopara, Pietersen, Bell, Collingwood, Prior, Swann, Anderson, Onions, Harmison.
  12. Shit! Look what I've started.
  13. Oh I do like the English regional rivalries over who is ?ardest. It?s a bit like fighting over which is the hardest of the Tellytubbies. So sweet.

  15. Well Ted. Lives like, money are spent. What are you buying with yours?

  17. True and I woudl like mine filled in subdued earthiness thank you very much.
  18. I?m looking for somewhere to drink But it has to have a philosophy. Preferably it should be about people, minds and inspiration. Positive values, open minds and inspiring thoughts if that?s possible. Is the glass half empty or half full? That sort of thing.. With a subdued earthiness it should exude a welcoming ambience. What I?m really trying to say is I?m looking for a home away from home. In addition to a rustic bar, with quirky slogans and abstract Brazilian art on the walls, I would like to relax in an, unbelievably perfect for private hire on any day of the week, Mayan Lounge where I can get my friends together for a cosy celebration.. I.. embrace life and live it me. What would really seal the deal would be some random quotes by famous people of varying intellectual significance. Anyone have any ideas?
  19. It's pretty good. Not a patch on, Dude Where's My Car though but pretty good.
  20. So you say.
  21. Ah you see there Sherwick this obsessing about 2005 may just be the problem. They are playing against a completely different Australian team, especially a different type of bowling attack, to what they were in 2005. Now I?m all for people like Pietersen and Swan being allowed to play their natural games and tonk it to the boundary whenever they get the chance but in between them perhaps we need more guys like Collingwood who will nurdle out 100 runs over 4 long sessions and frustrate and exhaust their bowlers rather than necessarily intimidate them.
  22. The SE22 forum was set up by someone who set up identical forums for just about every post code in the area. Whereas this is a local forum for local people moulded out of genuine East Dulwich clay by a man and his dog on one of the Friern Road allotments.
  23. American Splendor - Another Day The latest but one anthology of Harvey Pekar?s American Splendor series.
  24. Well Onions and Harmison are almost definitely going to be playing at Lords. If Harmison is on form he is a match winner (to quote big G Boycott a million times over). Apparently Onions is on form as well. So if Anderson and Swan can sort themselves out the bowling attack may be considerably improved. Collingwood will do his job supporting well but I don?t hold much hope for Broad.
  25. If you're gonna do it. Do it right: http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/Images/ExternalImages/ProductsDetailed/14/009514.jpg + http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/Images/ExternalImages/ProductsDetailed/56/057356.jpg
