  1. So the question really is, "Will the world take over English?"
  2. Cor I didn't even see the second page of this when I posted that.
  3. The P4, the Brixton express of course. I used to do it twice weekly. If you live near the library best thing to do is to cut through the park and pick it up from College Road or the village. If you're going to Stockwell it's just a short walk up Stockwell Road from the cop shop. Plenty of good reasons to go to that part of town, South American and Portuguese food, live music and the best skatepark in London. In fact since I've moved out of town I still go to Brixton regularly which I can?t say about East Dulwich.
  4. So the idea of getting rid of gyms because they are annoying and encourage people to wear spandex is a non starter then?

  7. skateboarding at any age results in broken bones In fact a lot of the middle aged guys I skate with seem to get better at staying unbroken with age. Which is a pity because there is nothing funnier than watching fat middle aged blokes fall off skateboards.
  8. It?s still a long way off but by the time it comes around I plan to be able to afford one of these. http://www.allonwhite.co.uk/images/morgan-4-4-sport/900/morgan-4-4-sport-photo1.jpg and one of these in the back garden. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2633/4082459155_69cc0850d0.jpg Everything is of course going to be mood lit in the future.

  19. Well you could argue that in a country where so many people rely on council housing it is discrimination to treat them differently. The reality is that council housing is not a safety net for the most vulnerable but an real necessity for normal people because of the gross inequality in British society. But of course it also serves the conservative agenda to pretend that they live in some sort of fantasy land where more than half of the population don?t earn less than 20K a year and a handful of networked millionaires can somehow serve the interests of people other than the their elite peer group who continue their historic robbery the rest of the country. No, they just try to take away the things that people rely on without any attempt to even the playing fields so that they can provide for themselves. The sickest thing is that they then try to bundle it up with some sort of ideology about common decency which is insulting to those of us who actually posses it. People wonder why I can?t retrain myself from pointing out the truth about their characters.
  20. If a single person earns 37K they don't need subsidised housing. So if they are living in a 4 bed council house for low rent just charge them full market rates and they'll soon move somewhere they can afford. But someone earning the same who has 5 kids may very well need the subsidised rent on a similar property. But the idea of evicting people and forcing them into private rented accommodation being bandied about by people who have never had any insecurity over where to house their families is just offensive. Especially without taking into consideration all the issues with the private rental sector. But even if there was a properly regulated rental market where people could get secure tenure at fair prices and there was fair access to private ownership it is still morally reprehensible. It is not ok to kick people out of their homes, not now not ever, no decent person would think so.

Yeah but going after tax cheats would be targeting the conservatives themselves whereas targeting benefit cheats (although they should be dealt with) is going after people who are weaker than you and putting the boot in. This is exactly the type of psychology which the conservative mind responds to and it is the of motivation behind Cameron?s ideas on the issue. I doubt anyone will argue that someone who doesn?t need it shouldn?t be getting subsidised housing but this can be addressed by putting rents up on a scale in accordance salary or simply removing provisions like the right to inherit a council tenancy. But no these people get their hardons by talking about kicking people out of their homes and into private rented accommodation (which despite what those who have bugger all experience of it may think is the most exploitative, unfair form of housing provision in the country). All of this to the salivating cheers of the indignant, telegraph reading masses. You can very easily make people pay full price for their houses if they are earning enough money but there are those amongst us who feel very strongly that you can?t just go kicking people out of their houses in order to make some sort of ideological statement. Wanting to do so just exposes the antisocial, mean streak on which these peoples? political motivations are based.
  23. Alls I?m saying is that it?s better to do one thing at a time and do it thoroughly and properly (like relaxing or avoiding work for instance) than make a half arsed attempt at 5 things at once. And headphones can all fuck off for a haypenny holiday.
  24. Stupid idea ?multi tasking?. If you?re going to do something give it your proper attention and do it properly. Anyway I?m pretty sure it was just a term invented by Microsoft do describe running different software apps concurrently. Multitasking my arse.
