Just a quick message to say I used the guys today; rang late Friday evening about a plumbing emergency and they were able to come out Saturday morning to fix it! As other people said; quick, professional and will probably use them to get further works done on our ageing heating system.

Another recommendation for Aria and his brother Dan. They came to replace some radiator underfloor elbow joints. They were terrific! The work was carried out very professionally, Aria was helpful in telling me what was happening at all stages of the work, they took up and replaced the floorboards with great care and they left everything neat and tidy at the end. Great job! I will definitely use them again.

Aria is on

Aria and Dan (07739 734895‬) came at short notice to fix a burst pipe in our kitchen. They did a tidy job with great communication explaining problem and solution. They were quick and effective. I am more than happy to recommend them.

We moved in our new place and realised we had a leaking pipe in the kitchen. Called Aria and he came in the next morning, and not just fixed it in no time but also gave tons of great advice for the future and quickly helped with a shower switch. The price was also very reasonable. As the pipes are dodgy in the kitchen, we had another leak so Aria came back the next morning and fixed it right away without charging any more money.

He is also a great friendly guy - I can see why he has got so many great reviews on here. Will be usinf again and will have no hesitation to recommend to others.

Checking in to report further excellent service from Aria and Dan. We needed a couple of radiators installed in the kitchen - turned out to be a very tricky and time consuming job but they did it all beautifully and didn't attempt to charge extra the way a lot of people would. Then today I called them out on what turned out to be pretty much a false alarm and waste of time for them - but no charge and no attitude just fast and helpful service, sorting my problem out in a matter of seconds! Can't recommend them highly enough. They're also great for recommendations of carpenters, electricians etc.
Very friendly and helpful service from Aria, came round to investigate the problem quickly and provided a quote, once confirmed by landlord came back again quickly and finished the task without needed additional parts that were originally expected so quote came in cheaper than expected too. Would recommend.
Another recommendation for Aria and Dan here. my shower had no hot water. Text them in the morning. Came round and inspected free of charge a couple of hours later. They then went away and bought parts and sent me a quote which I was happy with. By mid afternoon they'd returned and finished the job, excellent work and really friendly guys. They even spotted that my boiler had no pressure which might've been affecting the central heating, they sorted this free of charge.
Adding a recommendation for Aria and Dan, and also their tiler Ken. We had a disaster shower installation in our loft conversion that must have started leaking from day one. They came in and recognised the problem after opening up the ceiling underneath (the waste had been improperly fitted), and gave us a quote much below that of two other plumbers we had in to look at the problem. They did a great job removing the old tray (a stone one, so it was heavy work), re-doing the plumbing, fitting in a new tray, re-plastering the hole in the ceiling in the room below, and then replacing the tiles that had been removed in order to lift up the old tray. The end result is a shower that doesn't leak (!!) with all of the new parts (tiles and tray) seamlessly integrated into the original bathroom. They were very helpful and friendly throughout, especially as the job turned out to be more difficult than expected with our easily breakable tiles. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Another satisfied customer of Aria here.

Aria responded very quickly to a leak and a broken shower, providing a quick solution at a good price. He even managed to fix a boiler problem of which I was unaware until just before he arrived to fix the shower.

He kept me up to date with what was required and how the work was progressing via calls and text messages. Very high standards of service - highly recommended!

Another recommendation for Aria and his team. They answered my panic call last week, I had water leaking into my neighbours downstairs. Aria arrived within a few hours, calmly talked me through his checks, showed me why he was confident it wasn't a big issue and the washing machine was the culprit. He returned later that day with parts and fixed the problem. There were a few dramas along the way, all dealt with professionally and promptly.

I have an old property with some 'odd' set ups, Aria is coming back this week to update a few bits for me.

I'd happily recommend Aria, not only does he know what he's doing, he's honest and reasonably priced.

Thanks guys

    • Per Cllr McAsh, as quoted above: “We are currently updating our Enforcement Policy and changes will allow for the issuing of civil penalties ranging from £175 to £300 for visible smoke emissions, replacing the previous reliance on criminal prosecution. " Is anyone au fait with the Clean Air Act 1993, and  particularly with the state of 'Smoke Control' law and practice generally?  I've just been looking  through some of it for the first time and, afaics, the civil penalties mentioned  were introduced into the Clean Air Act, at Schedule 1A, in May 2022.  So it seems that, in this particular,  it's a matter of the enforcement policy trailing well behind the legislation.  I'm not criticising that at all, but am curious.
    • Here's the part of march46's linked-to Southwark News article pertaining to Southwark Council. "Southwark Council were also contacted for a response. "Councillor James McAsh, Cabinet Member for Clean Air, Streets & Waste said: “One of Southwark’s key priorities is to create a healthy environment for our residents. “To achieve this we closely monitor legislation and measures that influence air pollution – our entire borough apart from inland waterways is designated as a Smoke Control Area, and we also offer substantial provision for electric vehicles to promote alternative fuel travel options and our Streets for People strategy. “We as a council support the work of Mums for Lungs and recognise the health and environmental impacts of domestic solid fuel burning, particularly from wood-burning appliances. “We are currently updating our Enforcement Policy and changes will allow for the issuing of civil penalties ranging from £175 to £300 for visible smoke emissions, replacing the previous reliance on criminal prosecution.  “This work is being undertaken in collaboration with other London boroughs as part of the pan-London Wood Burning Project, which aims to harmonise enforcement approaches and share best practice across the capital.” ETA: And here's a post I made a few years ago, with tangential relevance.  https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/278140-early-morning-drone-flying/?do=findComment&comment=1493274
    • The solicitor is also the Executor. Big mistake, but my Aunt was very old, and this was the Covid years and shortly after so impossible to intervene and get a couple of close relatives to do this.  She had no children so this is the nephews and nieces. He is a single practitioner, and most at his age would have long since retired - there is a question over his competence Two letters have already gone essentially complaining - batted off and 'amusingly' one put the blame on us. There are five on our side, all speaking to each other, and ideally would work as a single point of contact.  But he has said that this is not allowed - we've all given approval to act on each others behalf. There are five on her late husband's side, who have not engaged with us despite the suggestion to work as a team, There is one other, who get's the lion's share, the typicical 'friend', but we are long since challenging the will. I would like to put another complaint together that he has not used modern collective communication (I expect that he is incapable) which had seriously delayed the execution of the will.   I know many in their 80s very adept with smart phones so that is not an ageist comment. The house has deteriorated very badly, with cold, damp and a serious leak.  PM me if you want to see the dreadful condition that it is now in. I would also question why if the five of us are happy to work together why all of us need to confirm in writing.             The house was lived in until Feb 23, and has been allowed to get like this.
