Property with a view?

Friends of ours want to move to the East Dulwich/Forest Hill area but they have an important requirement and that is the flat/house must a long distance view - ideally over towards central London with the Shard, London Eye and other tall buildings?

Any suggestions?

Not sure whether to take this seriously or not! But if they'll consider SE5, Ferndene Road has wonderful views. Rarely see houses for sale there, though.

Or Dawson's Heights if they're looking for a flat.

Note - a view comes with a hill to climb up every day

Lots of houses with loft conversions have views from that height.

If prepared to move a little further (about a mile and a half) out (to a lovely area) the views around Telegraph Hill are stunning.

In East Dulwich, north facing loft conversions along the Hillcourt Rd/Mundania Rd line and anything higher should have a good London view. Sounds as if they need to chart out their ideal geographical location then mail shot houses to see if anyone wants to sell!!

On the SE15 side of Peckham Rye at the southern end are some flats for sale with great views.

Some of the roads in Forest Hill have great views. Taymount Rise and Eliot Bank are a couple. I suspect a flat will be better than houses for the kind of views they are looking for. Both those roads are decent blocks of flats.

Depends on elevation...the loft conversions on Heber to Pellatt, and probably beyond, have great city views

From our end of Barry Road - we can see London Eye - especially good at New year to see the fireworks from the bedroom windows.

From the Front of house - can see various tall buildings in London

Has to be dawsons heights you can see lovely panoramic views from the flats

Herne Hill and Denmark Hill have good views. Herne Hill is more houses, but Denmakr Hill has flats up by Wetherspoons pub (Fox on The Hill)

Tay mount Rise in Forest Hill-we have amazing views to Canada Water and The Olympic park.

I couldn't agree more..especially on a hot day carrying shopping!
