DaveR
Histon are no pushover - top of the conference, managed by Steve Fallon and John Beck, ex Cambridge United captain and manager respectively. Beck took Cambridge to within spitting distance of the old First Division, and I seem to remember a cup tie against Arsenal when a certain D Dublin put Cambridge one up before they eventually lost. Look out, Leeds! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/174/#findComment-149631 Share on other sites

mockney piers
Does anyone else think that the only winners in this interminable and farcical saga are the lawyers?http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/w/west_ham_utd/7716286.stm Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/174/#findComment-149779 Share on other sites

matthew123
I wonder whether Scolari will still be at the Bridge next season. The results are a bit shoddy and he doesn't have a Plan B.Liverpool are up there but the brand of football is painful. The main problem is the stopper Jamie Carragher. Carragher plays so deep because of his lack of pace and then demands the rest of the defence and midfield drop back so he is protected. The knock on effect is not enough going forward to pin down the opposition and create strikes on goal.United have their problems too since Carlos Querez left for Portugal - now without any tactical sense United are finding it extremely tough playing any half decent teams, such as Villa and Everton. With the Big 3 all having issues, this season will continue to be very tight. I'd say Villa will complete the top 4 for CL qualification as Arsenal are pretty much finished and Wenger has only himself to blame with this crazy policy of nuturing kids rather than building any more titles winning teams. Keef
An worried about Torres, he's out again with a hamstring pull. Hamstrings will always come back to haunt a player once they're gone. Hope he doesn't end up with a long lay off, need him if we're really going to challenge! Rhinestone Cowboy
Torres out great now if we pray maybe Kuyt,Gerrard,Keane,Carragher,Mascherano and Reina could catch man-flu maybe just maybe Liverpool will only beat us 1-0Irons. mockney piers
I'm inclined to agree with quids. We're showing some signs of improvement, but not enough to beat a half decent team.I hope someone kicks Mascherano though; twonk.
