Michael Palaeologus
It is quite clear that Keef is by far and away THE most popular forumite. Any sign of dissent stimulates the forum to immediate coordinated acts of defence. Any debate about Keef promotes a fountain of positive energy. So, having been watching alot of TV about India and Hindus of late; I propose that we promote Keef to the pantheon of Gods and worship him.The CPT could become the Temple of Keef. Fear n' Loathing could become his Head Priest and I suggest Bagpuss as Hand-Maiden in Chief (THIS is what you have being saving yourself for Bagpuss). Barry Road and other CPT regulars could take on ceremonial positions. Our holy day could be the first Friday of every month when we meet to make offerings of libations and chant the holy mantra - "And yours is .....?".I envisage effigies of THE BLESSED ONE, showing him with alot of arms - and in each hand he holds a pint-pot. BarryRoad
I'll be Temple of Keef's royal quality control guy. Basically I'd make sure he had the right amount of lemonade in his Grolsch top. He'd have to match my salary, though. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1240-keef-should-we-worship-him/#findComment-32956 Share on other sites
Ant
Well, of course it's tempting and all. But pointless. There is only one true religion, especially now that the Flying Spaghetti Monster has revealed himself on earth (and on YouTube). Jah Lush
"Though shalt not worship false idols," something from the bible I think. Having said that though, Keef is indeed a lovely bloke. Everybody's got to believe in something and I believe I'll have another drink. Mark
can Keef's heaven beat the FSM's heaven where there is a beer volcano and a stripper factory? Who cares? Let's just go to both where I'm sure there'll be a pool table and Man Utd will be in the Rymans League Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1240-keef-should-we-worship-him/#findComment-32976 Share on other sites

Keef
I'm not sure I want to be a God, I'd rather just enjoy the beer and Man U's relegation! That said, having several arms for glass carrying would be nice :)-D Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1240-keef-should-we-worship-him/#findComment-32996 Share on other sites

Michael Palaeologus
This is building nicely. The Chief Hand-Maiden has access to free ritual libation (foaming) and crisps and nuts and scratchings, as served by His Holiness, the Barry Road. Thanks you for visiting this humble thread BLESSED ONE. lozzyloz
Were we made in his image? Did he create ED in 7 days? Can he promote DHFC to the Premiership? Perhaps the next EDF drinks should be held in Salisbury! BarryRoad
As I said, you have to match my salary :))I think Keef's godly power should be along the lines of pointing at a pint of Grolsch, which then miraculously becomes a Grolsch top.All these new appointments are going to make Candice's job a lot easier. Maybe we should put her in charge of the holy ladder that leads from Sydenham to the CPT?
