iPhone or blackberry Curve

It is time to upgrade my phone and these are my shortlist. Anyone tried both?

I have a Nokia touchscreen one at the moment and hate texting on it so think the BBerry may be better.

Hi Liz. If text/email is your priority, then maybe the Blackberry is better. But web browsing is infintely better on the iphone!

Agree with Jeremy. Email is brilliant on the Blackberry, but the web browser sucks. The upcoming version of the OS is supposed to be better, but I'm not holding my breath.

Love my iPhone. I'd had a Sony Ericsson touchscreen before that I wasn't particularly keen on but technology has moved on and the iPhone touchscreen is far more responsive. Can you go to a store and play with either of them? All the apps for the iPhone also really extend it and make it more useful.

You'll be able to map and time runs using GPS with the iPhone Liz. In fact it'll probably be able to take your classes for you if you find the right App.

Loads of my friends are going Android - HTC Desire in particular. They love them. All the bells and whistles of an iPhone, but without the lockdown and the ponce effect.

I was a BB user (both work and personal) but now I have the iphone I would never go back.. BB is defo the poor cousin to the iphone..

Hi Liz- I had a blackberry for a week and was so frustrated with it that I too switched to an iPhone. It's much easier to type on and our laptops are all Macs so just seemed like the natural way forward. Also, the iPhone has great games for the kiddies!

Thanks for all the help everyone. Unfortunately I still cannot decide and now people have mentioned androids and HTC HD phones. Oh God, I have no idea.

I really am an old fogey never mind a nerd or a geek.

I'll see what I can get a free upgrade to.

Like the idea of using the fitness apps on the iphone as they would be helpful for work I am sure.

i love my iphone, find emails super easy but as has been mentioned above i work with macs and have macs at home so it all made sync sense. also i'll admit that i've not tried any of the other 'smart' phones. one thing is for sure, mac products are not something that people just have/don't particularly like. it would appear that they inspire as much love as they do pure hate.

i-phones are fun but as with all touch-screen phones, useless for typing (and not great phones either). Have a look at the Nokia N900. Best of both worlds. Here

Why don't you buy an old non-smart phone and cellotape an A-Z, an atlas, a dictionary, a thesaurus and a casette player to it? Much cheaper!

If you want both touchscreen and qwerty keypad the sony experia mini pro is a lovely wee thing. Great for texting and email, and with access to all sorts of android apps (many of which are free, yay!)

Thanks for all the advice everyone. I ended up getting an iPhone in the end. I have a macBook so thought I would be able to sync them etc. It is going to take some getting used to. I must admit - I don't really like it - eek!

Have a Curve at the mo. Good for work emails, but so is the iPhone. The rest of it is a mess. Awful.
