Edited in lieu of organsier's message below.

The Barry Barry Road Race is an open Kirk and all welcome. An inherent part of the challange of the BBRR is the consumption of the Pint/short/shot at either end so we would find it difficult to award the coveted title and Barry/Barriet Bear to anyone who has not followed that aspect of the run. However if a pint and half of Irn Bru is had at other end thats ok and a personal journey for those doing so - they just wont have a chance to lift the Bear. Perhaps be a pace setter for runners in either drinking or running capacity.

Look forward to crowning the Barry Runner 2011. Could be a strong field this year. PB's could fall (amongst other things)

Sun usually shines on race day.

Tee hee me too! Although I have to confess I don't know what lasers set to 'malky' means....it sounds pretty serious, but kinda fun too :)

That should give him a heads start. I reckon I'll start at 1.00 then, on the Friday.

Thats barry. 1.15 is a good time. We can give him a full induction and he will be well warmed up by the time the Barry Gun goes off. He will be in save hands.

Alan Medic:

    • The Sky article says the manager has apologised. Apparently, according to the article the person who said they'd apply on Rachel and her husband behalf left and didn't hand the job on. Here's the article https://news.sky.com/story/politics-latest-reeves-rent-mistake-labour-starmer-asylum-budget-tax-farage-reform-12593360?postid=10440668#liveblog-body

    • I'm utterly baffled as to why anybody thinks this is newsworthy, let alone worth a front page. The economy has barely grown for 20 years and the housing crisis has been worsening for a similar time period. Note to any journalists on the forum: maybe focus your headlines on important issues.
