Winter babies club (due Dec 2011, Jan/Feb 2012)

Recommended Posts

how lovely to hear you talking about your new babies now ... and not long to go for those still due. Thanks again to those of you who came to my HypnoBirthing classes, it was great to work with you. I hope you found the HB techniques useful and do remember to keep using them once your baby is here too.

If you know of others who may be interested in HypnoBirthing then please do tell them that I'm offering a Saturday Workshop (next on 4th Feb) and also another evening Workshop (next starts 6th Feb), as well as the usual longer evening class, VIP Private course and online course options.

I'd also like to remind you about NESTLondon.com, the new specialist group of midwives and therapists to support you and your new baby. Please do check the www.nestlondon.com and please spread the word that we're specialised and can help. Treat yourself and your baby!

Would love to hear how you've got on with the HypnoBirthing and the mp3 downloads,

warm wishes,

Kristin

Hello everyone,

Sorry to say I'm a complete newbie to this thread, having been a very intermittent ED forumite (must try harder!). This is despite the fact that our second baby is due February 12th, so I would love to meet up with you all and get to know those with babies/bumps around the same age locally.

My 3 year old is at nursery on Tuesday and Wednesdays so they are my ideal times to be able to meet for a natter. Otherwise if Monday is the day of a regular meet I'll try to pop along with him, but it can be difficult in a cafe as he's got severe food allergies, so monitoring him to keep him safe in conjunction with the normal toddler lack of sitting still ability can make conversation difficult! I'll keep an eye on this thread, and hopefully meet some of you very soon. All the best, Lindsay

Afternoon would be perfect for me as we're struggling in the morning at the moment... Let me know the day that work for you. Any day for me next week except Thursday afternoon. It will be just me and my 6 weeks old baby girl.

Hi all,

I am easy with regards to tomorrow's meet up... It's got a bit confusing, so I'll put it out there that I'll be at the Garden's again tomorrow morning. Toddler safely at Grandparent's so a leisurely coffee for me.

Let me know if anyone is up for a morning meet. I'll aim for 10:30ish.

I hope the bumps who attended last week are now fully fledged babies!!

Hey, hope everyone is keeping well with babies and bumps?

Our littlun (Darcy) arrived a bit earlier than anticipated on Sat 28th. Don't quite know where the week has gone!

Will try to join you guys next week when OH back at work (although seem to struggle to get showered and dressed before midday at mo, hoping that'll get easier!)

Look forwards to catching up with all and meeting new arrivals!

That sounds normal to me Darcy. My daughter is 6 weeks old and it's only getting better now. She had reflux so it didn't help either. I now manage to be ready by 10-10.30am so morning meetings are still a struggle for me and if anyone fancy afternoon coffee, walks in Dulwich park please let me know!

Hello everyone, just to let u know that our little boy, Finlay (Finn), finally arrived on Thursday. All happened very quickly in the end- contractions started lunchtime although not bad as squeezed a trip to Sainsburys in! Went in at 8.30, had him at 10.30 and home in bed by 3.30! Felt so lucky as had jemima, one of the lanes midwives who was just amazing. Little bit sore as he was 8lb15 and came out with his little hand up like superman but completely loving every minute with him. Hope we'll be up for him meeting some of the other little ones Monday morning if anyone's up for it. Laura xx

Laura, that is great news. Congratulations! I look forward to meeting your little man. Glad to hear it was all pretty quick.

I won't be able to meet up on Monday as I'll have my mother unlaw and the toddler! Maybe we should start to organise a Thursday afternoon catch up with toddlers too.

Littlemoo, I agree - afternoon with older ones are better for me too. Shamefully, unlike what i did with my first, I am avoiding all baby related activities when I am with her only, and prefer to stay home to catch up with chores, do yoga, read, etc. Although I am going to the cinema again on Thur!

Laura - huge congratulations!

Congrats Laura!

Next week is probably out for me due to half term, and hubby is taking his 2nd week of paternity leave so we're planning to get out and about with the older kids.

Morning meets are best for me as I pick #2 up from school at 12pm. I could do lunchtime meets if they're somewhere that I could get lunch for my 3.5 year old. I then have to pick #1 up from school at 3:30pm. Oh the joys of 3 children!

Congratulations Laura and Katie! Lovely names.

I'm still hanging out doing my best John Wayne impression, but hoping that our little man will make an appearance before too long. Have taken to doing lots of baking with the intention of having homemade snacks in the house for the home birth. Although me and my husband keep eating them all... I'm going to end up with a flapjack baby! My due date's not till Thursday and intend on spending the day making some marmalade to lure him out.

I'm be up for a meet next week unless I'm otherwise occupied...

Congrats to Sal on a successful ECV! So pleased it worked for you.

Congratulations guys! Great news. Lots and lots of babies...

C - I made these cookies as a labour snack (we ate them all before though) and they were yum. V easy to make it with whatever stuff you've got lying around. They come out enormous though so I would chill the mixture before baking if I did it again to reduce the amount of spreading!
