Bonfire Display in ED

Does anyone know if there is going to be an organised display in ED?

The official Southwark Display is in Greenland Dock this Year and on November 5th. Greenland dock is virtually opposite the cinema and Bowling Alley at Surrey Quays.

Lambeth fireworks are in Brockwell Park on Friday.

Blackheath fireworks on Saturday.

If you go yo Multimap.com there is a place to put your postcode in to see the fireworks in your area. It seems to have the big displays only. Not sure what day the Burbage road fireworks are on.

Are there any smaller displays? I used to go to Blackheath which is great, but the schlep home ruins it. I'm trying to find one I can walk to - so E Dulwich/Forest Hill Way?

Not in the new East Dulwich.

Bonfires leave a carbon footprint.

BlackHeath is a bit of s schlep susyp but Herne Hill is only a 15 min walk from The Plough/Library

Yes that's true. Is Brockwell Park a decent display? Does it have anything else apart from fireworks - eg Donuts :))

Think I last went 2 years ago but it's a big old do and no mistake. Food vans a plenty and the fireworks go on for aaaages

I'm thinking of watching it from The Florence, where hopefully the view won't be too obscured by trees and the fence.

Southwark Firework display will no longer be at Greenland Dock...

"After a massive outcry about the potential damage the display could have caused to the growing colony of rare birds that live in the (Greenland) Dock, Monday nights bonfire party has been moved to Southwark Park."

MP - Yes Florence is a good vantage point but the trees will probably obscure. You could always go in the back garden and look upwards?

Dulwich Sports Club is holding a display on Saturday night. Not sure what time though as I was driving past the sign. Anyone know?

IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL

The Venue has been changed from Greenland Dock to Southwark Park in order to protect a dying breed of crane (feathered variety). Please tell everyone you know who is planning to go.

Monday 5 November Family Funfair and Fireworks Display at Crystal Palace Park

Gates open 5pm

Funfair will be open from 5:00pm - 10:00pm

Fireworks between 7.30 - 8pm

Tickets purchased on the gate. Adults (14 and over) and unaccompanied children ?3.00, children ?2.00, under 5's free.

Car Parking ?2.00

Dulwich Sports Club's do on Saturday is open to all and starts from 7pm. I think they're charging about a fiver for it. They also have a good selection of beer (at good prices too!) and will have some sort of sausage sizzle/BBQ going as well. :)-D
