To be fair to the yummy mummies, Peckham Multiplex pictures don't do a mother and baby screening. I think they are totally missing a trick - I've been going to the Picturehouses at Clapham, Brixton and Greenwich with the sprog to the under 1 year old showing for the last year and they are always packed to the rafters (and its ?6!). If they had done it at Peckham I would much rather have gone there as its much closer and cheaper.

You should email the manager - he may consider it. The price has gone back to ?2.99 for any film because he has responded to public clamour.

given that mother & baby screenings are, in practice, screenings where attendees are exempt from the commonly-accepted social duty to remain silent during a film out of respect for fellow cinema-goers, surely every screening at the Peckham multiplex is effectively a mother-and-baby screening?

They do let you take your sprogs in, but only for U rated film. My baby has been weaned on 18s and foreign art house, so probably wouldn't like Ratatouille....

Changed to the Odeon in 1936 - looks much less attractive but on closer inspection just looks like the central triangular bit was removed and the horizontal blocks (not the correct architectural term I am sure) removed

Maybe less than that, but I seem to remember that the front portion of the building had gone sometime before that.

Wasn't it the 'London Clock Company' for a while. I never knew it was a cinema before but thinking back the build did have that look.
