Wow yet another classic from spurs psycho hatchet man. AS ususal spuds fans with short memories your own keeper was the holder of the clown of the premiership title not that long ago. Couldn't catch water in a bucket if memory serves me right.

Bridge is a poor defender anyway, so no loss there. Cole may not be fit, which would be a shame as despite being a tosser he is a good player. It will porbably be a case of a right footed player filling in at left back, though Gareth Barry used to be a left back. Also there's always the young Gibbs from that other North London team. I'm sure my old mucker Atila will agree with me for once on that call.

Gibbs is a young gifted player but is curently injured and I don't think the leap to international standard without match fitness is in his grasp.

There is certainly a dearth of good left backs in this country but I suppose Nicky Shorey is now in with a pretty good chance though I don't rate him either.

If only Gareth Bale was English. He gave another masterful attacking full-back display last night against Bolton and since he's come back into the side has got better and better and his confidence is sky high. Certainly one of the best in the Premiership on current form.

atila- gomes might have had a shaky start but there aren't too many better keepers in the prem now

after watching fabianksi and almunia in recent months i think chelsea's reserve keeper 'hilario' would be apt for arsenal right now

Why should he? He's still the best player for the job as England captain in my view. He might not be a gentleman like Bobby Moore but he's a natural leader on the pitch.

I agree about Gomez. I think he should be number 1 for Brazil. AbsoloutelyFabianski could have been number 1 for Poland but he couldn't fit on the team bus with his clown shoes on.

Gomez is vastly improved from the scary keeper he was when he first arrived here. He's settled now and playing really well and kept an impressive amount of clean sheets this season.

Well I just wonder if Terry is going to get Beckhamesque type treatment BEFORE The World Cup. I don't know if his obvious dip in form is due to this current scenario or that he is just over the hill. Admittedly England would have a problem at CH as well as LB without Terry and Cole, but play like Brazil and it wont matter.

Jagielka played centre half. right-back and midfielder for Sheffield United - but never left back IIRC

Oh and he played in goal a few times too when Colin played no goalie on the bench and Kenny got injured! Jaggers was really good!
