Caught most of it online and things aren't looking too great for you lot (good for us - we need all the help we can get!!).

Far too early to say really in terms of the SPL season ahead, but with not one shot on goal, you'll need a massive change of fortune to salvage your Euro run this year.

I assume pool won tonight? I heard they were winning so hope it worked out.

First visit to emirates on sunday to see celtic arsenal.pity we are coming off a big defeat in the ch lg and also with retirn leg to think of but nevertheless the bhoys will have a big following.

yes, come on Simon, Ruffers et al...tone it down with your anti-Liverpool bile, didn't you know our Scouse bretherin are such sensitive little souls, scratch them and they bleed (mind, keep your fingers crossed that thay don't put in a compo claim against you though) and as for you Mick Mac, well I despair...Roy Hodgson is a very very nice man, and that Joe Cole fella can kick with both feet...see, it's easy :))

I like Liverpool, I want to see them do well, I like Hodgson etc etc.

But contenders? Who knows... Hodgson will get them organised and maybe even over-achieving but I don't see that as contenders. They should get a UEFA spot as Spurs will, I think, struggle with the demands of the Champions League assuming they qualify, but it will take Woy a year or two to get 'his' team in place, just like Mancini took till now to build his own squad. That (City) squad may not achieve but but'll be his, same scenario with Roy, just a year ahead of Liverpool.

I have read my wikipedia and Hodgson has a very good record on getting smaller clubs to perform well in less competitive leagues and good sucess with smaller teams in eruope. It's a very different test at Liverpool, but if Gerrard and Torres stay he has some good raw material to work with and I'm sure the team as a whole can perform better when revitilised. Success would be to get the club back in the Champions League?

    • But I don't think that was what you meant, was it? But he can hardly be held responsible for what somebody else did! Just discovered I forgot to post the above  last night, and now it's overtaken by long posts.  I don't have sufficient knowledge  to counter some of what has been said above, some of which appears to be opinion rather than facts, so it would be pointless for me to say anything else.
    • I am sure our lovely Evri delivery team, who do a firkin hard job, take the time between drops to read the East Dulwich Forum 🤫
    • For every person like OP that moans their doorbell was rung and there was a knock on the door, there's someone else moaning that they didn't hear the delivery drivers. If you've ever done delivery work you'll know that loads of people's bells don't work. The delivery drivers probably goes to a hundred doors a day: press bell, knock door, drop package, move on. If you don't like delivery drivers, insist on delivery by Royal Mail where the workers have wages and a union - or just stop ordering shit online that's artificially cheap. But most of us (me included) don't want that
    • If someone comes to my house and bangs my door and slams my gate, I'd speak to them about it nicely and ask if they would please not do that. And then subsequently less nicely if they keep doing it, ending in reporting them.  We don't slam doors at home and I don't put up with that either. I can see us moving to a culture where we bribe drivers to be nice by tipping them, but we shouldn't have to. It's not necessary - does not matter if they are on minimum wage or not, or if society means that delivery services are outsourced or whatever reason anyone would like to concoct.
