Foxtons has to be the worst thing that has happened to East Dulwich in a VERY long time.

I keep meaning to ring up to tell them to stop putting about a million brochures through our door and how many letters has everyone got about them arriving in Dulwich?

Clearly, they have no interest in the environment with the amount of paper they waste with their advertising and their mini's polluting the local atmosphere!

Grrr.... Rant over! I just can't abide Foxtons I've heard so many stories from friends about their unscrupulous behaviour, I would never ever use them.

"It's quite funny though ... they are like the guys who turn up with their surfboards after the tide has gone out ... the market has nosedived, prices are topping out, he he he ..."

When the last house price recession started LL was arguably oversubscribed with estate agents, but nothing like it is now. When the recession ended only a few remained. Unfortunately, Foxtons probably has the resources and staying-power to outstay the competition.

so how does it work that people from fairlawns have signs outside from foxtons.com, that look exactly like for sales signs but have fairlawns integrated into the foxtons style graphic? although they are advertising xmas something or other you 'think' its more foxtons signs. like they are 'becoming part of the community' ie put a bit of moolah the schools way then stick your signs up with the 0% banner.

"I live in Balham myself and i don't see what the fuss is about. I also drive and have to park around balham high road and i have no problems as the minis are not there all the time. They pay for the time parked which is more income to the council and surely the minis are a good advertisement for the area of which i am so proud to live in."

"Me and my partner were let down recently by another Balham estate agent, leaving us with the prospect of being homeless at Christmas. Foxtons were nothing but professional & efficient and we are now settled in a perfect flat in time for the festive season. They seem to do a better job than anyone else on the high street, so people need to quit with the mud slinging of which this mini nonsense is an example, and get over this jelousy towards what I have found to be a successfull, professional company."

Can I don my Columbo mac and start another investigation ?

    • I am currently dealing with numerous cases of clay shrinkage subsidence in Dulwich, and have had some success in getting TPOs lifted. I also agree with the comments about being cautious about getting insurers involved and I’m in the Insurance Post Magazine this week discussing this subject. I have written a blog on my website about it too. It’s a huge problem which is currently escalating enormously. UK Subsidence (clay shrinkage and trees) Fb group has experts on it (incl myself) giving free advice and is a useful resource. My Insurer has withdrawn subsidence cover.pdf

    • Yup. At best I have people who detest Trump shrugging and saying something like “what ya gonna do?” Like that is any kind of answer what we gonna do is condemn, and watch out for same happening here - and watch out for all the handmaidens who would allow this to happen.  Apologists for Farage, Jenrick etc
