I do wonder if there are more about. We've had one in the garden this year for the first time ever, to our knowledge at least. And I found one in the fro.t garden compost bin yesterday. Never had one in there before. And no, we don't put cooked food in it, just plant and veg waste.

I?d rather have rats than people spitting everywhere, or leaving chewing gum stuck to the bottom of my shoe. The amount of take away food thrown on the streets when bins visible also makes me angry. If you don?t like rats, don?t chuck your crap on the floor.

really chuffed at the thought that new councillor McAsh's top priority for action would be catching rats on Goose Green.

any other helpful suggestions to improve our local area? maybe councillor McAsh could also pick up after any local dogs with negligent owners in his spare time?

Working near Lincolns Inn Fields it's a lovely walk (or run).

Good to hear the rats obeyed the injunction.

Did the rats leave in disgust at the presence of so many lawyers?

I'm deeply hurt!!!

Sadly, I think it was more of a death sentence than voluntary exit.

Or maybe they could pop round to yours and supply you with a tutor to sort out your constant post editing (evidently caused by not being able to spell properly).

Just joshing, I have three of them in the family (lawyers not rats).

Nice try (again) with the fake comments, Louisa - the Trump administration would be proud of you. You replied to my posting timed at 12.12 today and as you can see - that post has not been edited! Embarrassing?

Yes, you are embarrassing. You are constantly editing posts and then making out that it was for ?other reasons?. Very tiresome robbin. But I?m not the spelling police, so unlike you I won?t continue to raise it all the time.

Happy editing!

ah, but you see, it wasn't LL - this particular rodent was quietly going about its business on GG

to be clear - if you had posted about the risk to children and dogs from bad driving in ED, or the pollution from school-run drivers in ED, or the broken glass on pavements near the multitude of pubs and restaurants in ED, or the easy availability of junk food (to children) or chicken bones and other litter (to dogs) in ED, i would have been delighted to join forces with you in bothering new councillor mcash

complaining to the councillor about a rat on goose green - come on!

    • Exactly the same thing happened to me a few years back; they were after my Brompton. Luckily there were only 3 of them so I managed to get away and got a woman to call the police, then they backed off, but not after having hit me in the back of the head first. Police said next time just give them what they want, but I sure as hell wasn't just going to hand over my bike to them!
    • In case anyone is renovating or stripping out an old kitchen, I am looking for a base kitchen unit or carcass to house an oven for a temporary set up kitchen.   Also looking for a run of worktop at least 180 cm long if anyone is disposing of something like this, I would be happy to collect.   thanks   Mila
    • Big recommendation for Stephen Viccary who has created a magnificent bathroom for us. Quality of work is absolutely top notch. We couldn't be happier - see pics.  Stephen is considerate and tidy meaning working from home during the work was fine (some noise - obviously, it is a demo and installation after all. He does not work on multiple jobs, does a full days work and does ALL the work himself - Tiling, plumbing, lighting (including lighting on a motion sensor under the vanity and in the shower niche - for night time visits 😉), he even changed the door architraves, sorted the badly cracked ceiling and did all the paint work. A full end to end service. Stephen's number - 07941 266 145
