people in rush hour with wheeled luggage. If you must drag those bloody things around PLEASE look around you to check you are not inadvertantly knee-capping or toe-amputating those around you

Here Here.

plus:

non London commuters waltzing along the platforms/ stopping as soon as they step off buses/ trains etc

people reading whilst walking and walking straight into you

grrrr...off to find an uninhabited city to work in!

but it's a risky game, fare-dodging. Plenty of times have I had my oyster checked on the 12 route - and I don't use it that often - and I've seen quite a few unlucky sods get stung by fines.

I got caught on the 12 on a sunny sunday afternoon (after thinking "surely there won;t be any inspectors on the bus on a Sunday, and a day like this?). Only had 50p on the card :-$

I was only going a couple of stops (so serves me right for being lazy) but it was hot and I was tired (ok, hungover). Never got a fine though. Maybe because I had at least attempted to touch in?

I always pay now though!

well, I took the DLR last month out to Canary Wharf for a meeting - I was running late and forgot to touch in at Tower Hill. I changed at Shadwell and tried to find a card reader, but couldn't see one on the platform so just got on the train anyway, thinking I'd be alright. Of course, ticket inspector hops on as soon as the doors start to close!

But I went straight to him and explained and he let me off! Phew!

On-line booking - the BM on-line booking had NO tickets for the Terracotta Army until 6th April - make a telephone call and there are lots of tickets available. I've had the same problem with theatre tickets - on-line the availability is sh1te - make a simple telephone call and you've got seats.

...people on the bus holding loud, long and irritating conversations. Don?t they realise what they?re doing? Tonight coming home on the 185, bloke next to me was terminating a not too harmonious relationship with his boyfriend ? (if they speak like that to each other, it?s definitely time to move on!); man behind me yakking about some financial deal all the way from Victoria to Goose Green and then someone else in front joined in ? calling all his friends about his nicked bike and relating the same tale 3 times! Ban all conversations over 2 minutes on buses!!

And one more?everyone assuming just because you?re welsh that you come from ?the valleys?!

I was listening to a guy's mobile conversation on the train the other day. Sounded at first like a relationship drama,

"And then she said she was going back to her kids" "No, I'm fine" "Honestly, I'm fine" etc etc. (I'm very nosey when it comes to these things.)

And then it took a worrying turn "So, are we gonna f*@& him or what? I've got his address" Argh!

I hope "he" didn't get a beating...

Pedestrians who walk in the middle of Greendale cycle path and then moan when they have to move aside for me (heres a clue; the cycle path has a picture of a bike on it and speed humps). Also people who walk their dogs along the cycle path but dont grab them when they see me and other cyclists coming thus causing a danger to cyclists and their dogs.

    • It’s 3 AM - Anyone know when this horrendous noise is going to stop?! We’re on the Sainsbury’s Local end of Landells and am quite frankly sympathising with all of you nearer Peckham Rye. My ears are ringing! How is this ok?!
    • https://chng.it/YXCH5XXVMY We live near and it’s absolute hell. The noise of the people coming and going from Peckham is the worse. They are so loud and obnoxious. This is my 5th year of this nonsense. People vomiting in my front garden, urinating in my neighbour’s gardens, throwing food into my garden. Screaming waking up my children while waiting for their Ubers. The people that organise this festival are 100% obnoxious. They told us there would be security along our road (there wasn’t). I asked them to put up my family in a hotel but they wouldn’t. It’s actually a human rights infraction for all of us this badly affected. Over the years I have spent so much money trying to be away this weekend but none of us should have to. The data also shows that most people coming are not local residents - so of 3000 tickets sold, hardly any to residents; it’s easy to argue that it disadvantages us residents way more than any conceivable benefit. My elderly neighbours are besides themselves. Every year the setup and striking of the festival blocks off the park during half term, plus the antisocial behaviour and loud noises mean actual children that live here are prevented from using the park and playgrounds. The police initially rejected the license last year… then suddenly changed their mind with no apparent reason… seems legit. Also the GALA team lie and make false statements in their advertising about consulting with us (they don’t they just tell us what is going to happen then are extremely obstinate and rude). My neighbour runs Friends of Peckham Rye and has been totally distressed by all the damage done to recent planting initiatives funded by the local community. GALA do not repair this, GALA pay off Southwark and then Southwark refuse to confirm what they are paid, or how much (if anything) is spent to repair the park.   This needs to be stopped once and for all!!   Petition asking Southwark to stop providing the license to GALA once and for all.    I mean I am sure they will listen to us just like they did about the LTNs…   https://chng.it/YXCH5XXVMY
