PeckhamRose
Local housing officers are co-ordinating info on any-one they may suspect who has previously taken elderly people for their pensions. I know it is unlikely in this case but I thought I'd cover all angles. mrsS
Also there is an organisation called 'Irish pensioners' based in Bermondsey, could be worth contacting them as they do a lot of outreach work. sapphira
My condolences go out to all the family. My father too went missing and was of a similar age and died almost the same day several years ago, albeit in different circumstances so news of Patrick going missing and then being found dead have resonated with me and the sad news has been difficult to hear and take in as well as him being a neighbour who would exchange a greeting since I moved to the area. Once again my sincere and heartfelt condolences go out to all of his friends and family members. I truly hope he did not suffer unduly and that there was no foul play involved.RIP Patrick. Pugwash
So sorry to hear the sad news, but I am glad that you received so many offers of help both practical and emotional. It is at times like this, one's faith in the general goodness of other people's hearts and actions, is restored. At an age where money and self gratification is so rife, it is good to know that most people are basically kind and selfless.
