Hi

It might be worth contacting Aisling - http://www.aisling.org.uk/drupal/?q=node/19

I think Aisling have strong connections with Arlington House (the biggest homeless hostel in Europe) and the London Irish Centre in Camden

I also have a friend working near Victoria for an organisation helping the Irish homeless (can't think of what they are called - have contacted her)

Siobhan (girl who came down for couple of hours on Saturday to hand out flyers)

the organisation my friend works for is The passage - http://www.passage.org.uk/about_us.aspx

this is the message my friend replied to me:

yes i heard about him - its v sad. been keeping an eye out at work, but no-one matching his description has come in at all, nor been seen on the streets. i will forward this link to our outreach team, just in case they come across him while doing their shifts late at night or early morning. hope he gets found soon!

Sadly, Mr Connelly's body was found earlier today. He was such a lovely, kind and wise man.

Thank you to all of you have have helped in the search, spread the word and for the many suggestions received on this thread and by PM.

The family are very grateful for all your concern and help.

My condolences go out to all the family. My father too went missing and was of a similar age and died almost the same day several years ago, albeit in different circumstances so news of Patrick going missing and then being found dead have resonated with me and the sad news has been difficult to hear and take in as well as him being a neighbour who would exchange a greeting since I moved to the area. Once again my sincere and heartfelt condolences go out to all of his friends and family members. I truly hope he did not suffer unduly and that there was no foul play involved.

RIP Patrick.

So sorry to hear the sad news, but I am glad that you received so many offers of help both practical and emotional.

It is at times like this, one's faith in the general goodness of other people's hearts and actions, is restored.

At an age where money and self gratification is so rife, it is good to know that most people are basically kind and selfless.

    • Thanks all!  KateS - boulangerie Jade is a nice cafe, but they don't do fresh cream cakes. Their eclairs are filled with patisserie cream (a kind of custard), not fresh cream. Azalea- thanks and I've been to Bunhead Bakery (a Palestinian bakery) in Herne Hill a few times. There's a nice chocolate bun they do, which is amazing when then sauce is warmed up. But I haven't seen any fresh cream things there, only white icing. Maybe it's only on a certain day.  And the last time I checked, Ayres bakers in Nunhead don't do fresh cream things. These are the kind of fresh baked goods I'm thinking of....
    • Warning to parents using the playground in Dulwich Park. My daughter and her friends found a bag of ‘crunchy powder’ in the children’s playground this morning around 11ish. They thought it was ‘popping candy’ and all tried some before seen with it. Request to parents using the playground - if you see plastics bags with suspect looking contents or powder on the floor in the playground or park: pick it up and throw it in the bin. Don’t walk past and think someone else will deal with it. The next person to walk by might be a child who could pick it up not understanding what it could be. Hopefully our daughter and her friends will be ok and it’s a lucky escape. But please be aware in case anyone else’s child may have found it before them.
    • I’m looking for some ply sheets, ideally 9mm or 12mm. It doesn’t have to look good. As long as it’s not rotten it’ll be fine. I’d like bigger sheets, but I’m open to whatever anyone’s got. If you can help, drop me a DM.  Cheers
    • the only known name is from that poster in the window where it says to email [email protected]. I thought that website might shed some light on who is creating the posters I hope whoever was attacked is doing ok, but agree there is something very off/vigilante-ish about all of this
