annaj: was the eagle landing the end of the dream or did anything else happen? The obvious (to my literal mind) interpretation would be you are expecting some kind of news (or at least you are now) but why it has to be an eagle doing the circling I have no idea. Been watching old episodes of the Muppets recently?

Nero: I've had similar dreams with other "names". Not always people I liked either. It's the "ordinariness" of the shabby dwelling that made me realise I had that kind of dream before

But what DOES she look like these days??? People who say she looks fab for her age.. I just don't get it

Sean, no the eagle landing was not the end. I was faintly embarrassed to admit this before (I realise posting a dream on a public forum would already have crosed the humiliation boundry for most people, but for some reason it was this part that made me feel silly), but after the eagle landed and circled the car it stopped in front of the car and stopped me from pulling away from traffic lights. The cars behind me started to beep and I got all flustered!

Then the eagle and London disappeared and I was driving in the country, to a farm, where an old lady said she remembered me from years before when I was a baby.

There, release your inner psycholigist. What do you make of that?

This was obviously a subliminal dream about Clint Eastwood. The country roads and old lady represent your desire to settle down on a ranch with him and have little girls of your own.

What it says about you and men in SS uniforms I couldn't possibly say on a public forum.

Las night I dreamt I was the manager of Dulwich Hamlet Football Club. I was drinking in the bar at the ground (red wine out of an ashtray) and got completely pissed. I then went to Sainsbury?s car park to fetch my car and drive home, stopping to speak to a copper on the way who was about to go in and raid the bar. I tried to drive out of the parking lot but was too drunk to find the way out. So I parked the car and decided to hitch a ride out of the car park. I stuck my thumb out and a guy in a massive yellow monster truck stopped and gave me a lift.

I repeat my question from a different thread (decent men)

What on earth is going on here, is this conclusive proof that something has been smoked tonight ??? (and yet again it is Moos and HonaloochieB in the frame)

Cheating, Tactics, Vineger and how does all this relate to Brucie and Dreams !!!

Help

I really do want my mummy now !!!

Tell you what, nail varnish does have a rather intoxicating smell, but that's as close as I came yesterday to mind-altering substances.

What can I say, LuvPeckham, Honaloochie and I were alone on the Forum last night... the stars were shining frostily ... that kind of thing goes to a girl's head.

    • Post much better this Xmas.  Sue posted about whether they send Xmas cards; how good the post is,  is relevant.  Think I will continue to stay off Instagram!
    • These have reduced over the years, are "perfect" lives Round Robins being replaced by "perfect" lives Instagram posts where we see all year round how people portray their perfect lives ?    The point of this thread is that for the last few years, due to issues at the mail offices, we had delays to post over Christmas. Not really been flagged as an issue this year but I am still betting on the odd card, posted well before Christmas, arriving late January.
    • Two subjects here.  Xmas cards,  We receive and send less of them.  One reason is that the cost of postage - although interestingly not as much as I thought say compared to 10 years ago (a little more than inflation).  Fun fact when inflation was double digits in the 70s cost of postage almost doubled in one year.  Postage is not a good indication of general inflation fluctuating a fair bit.  The huge rise in international postage that for a 20g Christmas card to Europe (no longer a 20g price, now have to do up to 100g), or a cheapskate 10g card to the 'States (again have to go up to the 100g price) , both around a quid in 2015, and now has more than doubled in real terms.  Cards exchanged with the US last year were arriving in the New Year.  Funnily enough they came much quicker this year.  So all my cards abroad were by email this year. The other reason we send less cards is that it was once a good opportunity to keep in touch with news.  I still personalise many cards with a news and for some a letter, and am a bit grumpy when I get a single line back,  Or worse a round robin about their perfect lives and families.  But most of us now communicate I expect primarily by WhatApp, email, FB etc.  No need for lightweight airmail envelope and paper in one.    The other subject is the mail as a whole. Privitisation appears to have done it no favours and the opening up of competition with restrictions on competing for parcel post with the new entrants.  Clearly unless you do special delivery there is a good chance that first class will not be delivered in a day as was expected in the past.   Should we have kept a public owned service subsidised by the tax payer?  You could also question how much lead on innovation was lost following the hiving off of the national telecommunications and mail network.
    • Why have I got a feeling there was also a connection with the beehive in Brixton on that road next to the gym
