Sorry to go off the point, but I've only just caught up with the days events after a busy day at work and I feel compelled to ask.

Considering Sean's accidental "neaten" after Strawbs's (correct apostrophe? Save me from the grammar police) "beaver" on the open mic thread, is my superpower revealing other peoples' (and another one) subconscious thoughts about me?

Tomorrow is the Birthday of the Blessed Dulwichmum. It is a public holiday in ED.

Dulwichmum will be handing out silk purses full of gold coins to the poor Bankers of the area and washing the feet of all and sundry drying them with one of her wigs.

Congratulations on your 63rd Birthday Ma'am.

    • Daily Mail?   More atmosphere down the road at Peckham FC aka Menace, Good video, sadly they day the Menace were relegated in the spring (Went to a lot of Dulwich games over the years but now more likely on the South Circular)
    • Some of you may have never been to a post office on a Saturday when one or more people are posting their ebay parcels and you wait yonks.  Just one of those things.  I'm more concerned about the speed of the Royal Mail.  I may start a thread on this!
    • If you're going British, Marks and Sparks do a fantastic Cornish Cruncher Cheddar (get the three year old if it's on offer) and a Stilton/Stichelton which are wrapped in something more like wax paper.  I'm pretty sure they used to do a Stinking Bishop which had minimal plastic wrapping, as well.
    • Thanks to everybody for the responses. Agree that £50-60 is somewhat excessive so supermarket is likely to be the route we take.
