Application Number: 07/AP/2843

Location: 52 LORDSHIP LANE, LONDON, SE22 8HJ

Proposal: Change of use from an amusement arcade (sui generis) to use as a wine bar (Class A4).

Statutory start date: 07/03/2008

I was under the impression that no new eating and/or drinking establishments were going to be allowed on the strip.

hahaha.

What a morla dilemma

1) Good ting - the removal of this ghastly emporium is another means to keep the great unwashed from the newly gentrified streets of ED

2) Bad ting - another wine bar will add to congestion and noise late at nights for the newly gentrified ED

Rock / Hard place.

At least its not going to be a betting shop some might say.

maybe someone should tell the council they've got it wrong then. Go here http://planningonline.southwarksites.com/planningonline2/ under the title "Application Quick Search" put in 07/AP/2843 and it definately says "Statutory start date: 07/03/2008"

...unless the arcade people have forgotten to put up a public notice?

    • To put this over dramatic and somewhat gleeful post in context, the policy has not "failed at first hurdle." "It is just a temporary decision. The judge granted a pause of at least 14 days so the man, who is not being named for legal reasons and arrived in the UK on a small boat last month, could provide evidence of his claim that he has been a victim of modern day slavery." from BBC website
    • what sort of bike are you looking for - men's , ladies, size. commuter, mountain or racer etc etc. And what is your budget?
    • Is  the  decision by the High Court not to  deport an Eritrean man  to France on Wednesday anything other than a massive boost for Farage and reform. Farage has made a commitment for the UK to exit the ECHR which limits the independence of our justice system The UK Government’s “one in, one out” has failed at the first hurdle - just as the Rwanda scheme did under the Tories. To make it even more embarrassing is that the accommodation for deportees   in Rwanda paid for by the UK is now being used by the USA for its deportees. If we are to have Farage thrust upon us as a result of such judicial decisions, then God help us.
