Hazleharman
Hello people of East Dulwich.I am the chef of a the, what will be the new Green and Blue on Lorship Lane.We are opening something slightly similar to what was previous. But just a bit more of a serious restaurant(but not stiff).Alex and myself are really struggling with a name for the place. I want to ask anyone and everyone who is interested to try to name it. Just post or send us a name of whatever. In return we will offer the winner a free meal on the house.Look forward to hearing from youKind regardsHazle and Alex Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/31762-new-restaurant/ Share on other sites
silverfox
I notice that Heston Blumenthal's new restaurant, Dinner, has been voted number 7 in the world's top restaurants but the Fat Duck has fallen to number 33.How about 'Nosh'?http://www.theworlds50best.com/list/1-50-winners/ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/31762-new-restaurant/#findComment-640357 Share on other sites
StraferJack
I can imagine many people will answer with humorous or gilb answers, and fair enough but for a new business getting a name right is quite important so best of luckSingle name possesive seem quite popular ? such as Mishkins in town or Franklins locallyAre the rumours about connections with Terroir unfounded then? i*Rate
Good luck with the new restaurant and here's my suggestion for a name; Posh Nosh. Hope you will never do what Blumenthal did at The Fat Duck - keep it open when the staff were suffering with food poisoning to keep the punters coming in.Cheerypip. Matty Love
I think that the name Dulwich means something like 'place where dill grows', maybe something simple like just 'Dill' would be nice.Is there a prize for the best answer? Girl82
It is definitely connected to Terroirs, as when I was in one of their other restaurants recently, I asked the staff and they confirmed!
