Ha. Or "Drongo's" or "Bogan's" or. . .

Serve small portions at high prices and call it 'So East Dulwich'

or pick a cool 70s font and go the whole retro mile: http://frs.monotypeimaging.com/ImagingService.ashx?imagetype=typeit&shopid=679673&width=738&TextSize=32&TextColor=%23000000&BgColor=%23ffffff&RenderText=East%20Dulwich%20Bistro

I am guessing you are an Aussie that wears "thongs" in the summer.

This may be true, but with a bestselling cheese named 'Coon' clearly Australians are not yet the masters of avoiding potential lost-in-translation cock-ups.

Interestingly, Pom is used in Australia for someone who barbecues in the rain. After having to ask a Aussie to light the damn thing first.

Hi guys.

Thank you so much for you response and ideas.

Myself and Alex really appreciate all of your input and are blown away from the response.

Please keep the ideas coming!

Nothing has stood out as yet.(I mean that in the nicest way possible).

Please don't get offended.

Your all going in the right direction.

I'm just going to write a few words on us and what we will be doing, so maybe that can help.

We are basically two young(ish) guys, who both have had a dream to open a restaurant ever since starting in hospitality.

We are starting off small but have massive plans to grow as a restaurant within itself.

Its Our kind of project I guess!

We will have exciting wines to either drink in house or take home, also will have some exciting food as well. The menus will be small(at least at first), but will change regularly.

There won't be an ethnic background in the food, purely because We don't want to be limited in what we do.

We will be doing our best to source the best ingredients we can find, and hopefully mostly from the Uk.

We have been visiting farmers, butchers, fish suppliers for the last two or so months.

We are very excited and can't wait to serve and feed you all.

Thanks everybody

Kind regards

Hazle and Alex

And yes, this could be counter productive. But I'm sure the silver tongued Keir Starmer will be able to smooth things over. Not to mention the King and Queen 🤢  I think it's right that people should feel able to make their feelings known. It appears to be  a peaceful and well planned demonstration, and presumably they won't be bringing out the Baby Trump inflatable again, which must be well deflated by now.
    • Its a few years ago now, but I organised my end of year prom (for year 13) at Off the Cuff in Herne Hill - was on the cheaper side to rent and at that age, felt very cool and clubby. I had my own 18th at Whirled Cinema in Loughborough Junction but I'm not sure if they take event bookings like that anymore
    • You are right . It isn't going to change him for the better. Sending such a negative message is potentially counter-productive. Trump is narcissistic, arrogant, unpredictable, spiteful, divisive, and dishonest, with a penchant for a total a disregard for democratic norms.  He is one who bears a grudge so there's a case to be made for not offending him as he could react with a bunch of  adverse actions  such as  deciding to increase import tariffs on UK exports to the US.
    • Unless we don't fly I don't think we can be too critical of the authorities.
