That basement bar is crying out to be a late night club. Note no bar downstairs! I suspect the sofa layout down there is a poor attempt to fool planners into thinking it's not going to be a dance floor. And note the mention of sound proofing on the proposal!

I'll be amazed if they get planing to use the rear garden though.

Basement bar, you can just see it rivalling kebab & wine for the classy late night drinkers!

I went to kebab & wine for the first time in ages a couple of weeks ago. Made me laugh so much, was on the way to the loo, and this big fella I'd seen around but never said a word to in my life, just handed me a wrap* of coke and said he was off home, and didn't want the wife finding it, so I should take it and enjoy myself. Just couldn't believe how open it all was, I'm sure a couple of years ago people at least pretended to be discreet! :))

* when I say wrap, very small lines worth is probably a better desciption

    • If you want to self cater and do it yourself, why not try one of the rooms in a church..  one I am thinking about has a huge room with kitchen and toilets… parking on site.. and another one worth considering is the church near Dulwich Library , top of Barry Road..  pm if you want more info and of course.. all the pubs on Lordship Lane. if you want further afield, Rosendale Pub has rooms above bar area that you can also hire…  Alleyns Head also good - section off a section of the pub for  your sole use and parking on site.. although, might not work if try want to dance and play there own music. Kingwood House might also be worth considering…

    • Hi. Trying to find a small venue for an 18th birthday, any suggestions? Everything’s really expensive.
    • Thank you both. That's really helpful. Will see if we have the budget left next year when we've finished some other work on the house, but would love to do this.
