word on the street is that the east dulwich veggie collective are banding together to form a not for profit tofu burger bar and will take over the lease.


rather than gambling your dough on the slotties, it'll now be 50/50 as to whether you come out feeling full or not ;-)

yeah but you know what? I have watched two establishments (Fads and another) on Wally Road close over the last couple of months to be replaced with.......a BETFRED and some arcade game place. Not that LL is in that league yet, but soon come.

Stick up for them, hmm let?s see. Well they did have a picture of a girl in a bikini in the window.


Although I suppose me even noticing that is misogynistic and dams me to hell.


Although mentioning the term hell is, I?m sure, reference to an outdated chauvinistic belief structure built on the exploitation of women.

So no, I can?t stick up for them, they confuse me too much and expose antisocial sexist aspects in my personality.

    • The last I heard was that an artificial wood is being used for the superstructure. I believe the bridge was rebuilt sometime in the 1980s so it’s evident that natural wood does not last very long in such a damp location. This alternative material is coming from Australia and has been delayed due to the Red Sea being closed and international shipping being diverted around the Cape.
