Heard they do really good business. It is just men's, I thought I saw a woman getting her hair done in there but I think that may have been his wife - lady with long "blonde" hair?

He may well smoke cigars and appears to have been living off the fat, fat, fat of the land. Who is the mysterious blonde woman though who was sitting behind the cash desk this morning? A prize is offered for the first person to accurately answer this question.

DulwichDahlia, I have it on good authority that it was Barbara Windsor.

As for the prize, don't go to too much trouble. But if you can find a copy of the little known knockabout saucy comedy film concerning birds of prey that Barbara appeared in, I'd be grateful. Carrion Vultures it was called.

You know, I've always wondered how rattus rattus keeps such trim, well groomed fur. You just don't get shaggy rats. Curious fact. Can you remember who was on reception, at the cash desk at the back, please? Too long a story to recount in public, but nevertheless, of interest....

I'm astounded at the 'hairist' attitude. I bet you wouldn't have felt it was alright to display that sort of naked prejudice if I was French, would you? Or a Netto shopper?

SAY IT LOUD I'M BALD AND I'M PROUD!! I SAY BALD AND PROUD!! as Fred Elliot once proclaimed.

Just because a fellow is 'maturely-scalped' doesn't mean thet he won't visit a barber for what used to be known as a 'penny all off'.

And FYI we slapheads prefer the term 'tonsorially-challenged'.

So, a very charming man runs a very successful and well used business, and a woman who says she is his wife, and his children, are often there, and also work in that business? That seems to be what the customers are saying. That's an ordinary situation then. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

So, why is no-one able to say - such a simple thing - who was the woman with longish, straight, to try to be more precise - maybe some people would say - ash blonde, dyed blonde, dirty blonde, silver blonde - hair. This person is about the same age as the man who was cutting hair last Saturday, and has introduced herself to various people as his wife, over a long period. She was working behind the cash desk, taking money from all the people who had their hair cut on Saturday 2 August 2008 - up to the point in the afternoon when someone arrived and started asking a few ordinary questions that would certainly be asked in the circumstances.

For some reason the woman moved at some speed from behind the cash desk at that point and went to sit on the sofas reading magazines?

Just a simple question? If I had a business too, and someone asked that question, I'm sure I wouldn't mind answering it. Would you?

This is a weird thread, why do you ask everyone about this woman when most people would just go in and ask? Or were you the person who went in and asked questions on Saturday 2 August 2008? I reckon you should call them 020 7358 0707 and ask them yourself dulwichdahlia.

Get a set of dumbbells and maybe a resistance band, find a HIIT channel you like on youtube and workout in your room, eat clean and go out every day. £115/mo is ridiculous. I thought they were supposed to be about £20 to £30 and most people give up come February anyway.
    • Point taken..I go 3-4 times a week and have done every week for several years however £115 a month is still a lot of money for many people (myself included) for a 'non essential' One can if one wishes excersise by running or Cycling, swimming once in a while. Gym membership IS a luxury...
    • Tawny owls are hooting in Dawsons Heights very near me. But very elusive birds. Sadly now on the amber list.  I have heard the owls every night for the past couple of weeks  It is good to know they are here. They are quite loud so I think they are very near. I have never seen an owl in the wild before and wish I  could  see them.
